Loved the experience. Loved the service. Jack was my stylist. He recommended so many good ways to self & home treat my unruly hair. After the session I really felt that my hair was back to normal.

Please consider hiring people who are genuinely interested in their job instead of merely scraping by. I had cut my hair at the Kovan outlet previously (that didn't go great either because I was shamed about having thick hair - I'm sorry but not every one that walks through your door has paper thin hair) and considered returning to get hair colouring done (almost a year later -- that is today because I thought things would have changed after reading the reviews). I called in to book an appointment for some time next month, and the person who attended my call was so apathetic to my enquiries with one word answers and offered no solution/advice to my questions. The conversation pretty much was like this. "Hi I'd like to book an appointment for hair colouring." "When?" "June 12" "No female stylist" "I just need my hair coloured" "Ya, no female stylist" *hangs up*. The least he could have done was let me know alternative dates. Secondly, I am curious as to why a male stylist wouldn't have been able to dye my hair? A brief explanation would have sufficed. This brief call and "couldn't care less" attitude is enough to not make me want to ever visit again. It's just another salon that managed to get popularized because of influencer marketing gimmicks.

Booked an appt for wash n blow as I got hand injury. I think the staffs are generally friendly but the one washing my hair seems rushed. It only took 5 minutes to wash and 10 minutes of blow drying. The rest of 19 minutes of just waiting in between. The washing was not relaxing at all. It was rough and the shampoo doesnt smell that nice either. But I was calmed as they were very careful to make sure I got the privacy I needed as a Muslim customer with hijab. The whole 15 mins wash n blow cost $30. Didnt know my hair is considered long. Mine is abt 3-4 fingers below shoulder ? Would I recommend ? Yes, maybe, if you're desperate. Like me ?

Last-minute appointment made with them after chancing one of The Smart Local Singapore's post and never regret my decision. I went for haircut + wash & blow. I was sceptical with hairstylist Ze initially when he started cutting my hair but the outcome of my haircut was superb! Thank you Ze for the excellent haircut and the lady who washed my hair (apologise that I didn't get your name). Made my day as it has been so long I have gotten a good haircut ever since I've become a mummy of two.

The service is really mediocre unlike what they are promoting through their influencers. Suspect they only bother to pamper their influencers so as they get well promoted. When I insisted on rebonding, their stylist said what I know are things of the past, and their technology now has gone very far. That is very insulting because stylist is implying I am old fashioned and out. After everything, stylist also did not see me to the door and I very much feel like their job is done and they cannot be bothered. First time to experience such a kinda service. And I paid $300+ as well, not a small amount, to receive such treatment. Will never visit again.

Service provided - Cut Wash & Blow for long, fine and straight hair.Cost $45. My review might no be important to them as I dont see issues from prior customers being addressed. Appointment was swift, i called and was given appointment within 2 hours. I came on time.My gf did not as she had some delay at work and I was told that if she is late, they might not have time to give her a slot.(0 for customer service there).I personally felt that it could have been dealt with differently. I felt the time taken to cut my hair was relatively fast.My hair is long.It took the stylist approx.10-15mins to cut(she does not know what a two length layered is, she said it is 'layered hair').i believe the hair do i wanted was more intricate and i do believe onyl experienced and talented hairstylist should be able to execute it within 30 mins at least.Washing around 10mins but it did felt rushed as well and I hear too much water used.Im sorry cant explained this better.Sound like puddle water splash splash. So I was done with my cut wash blow within the first 30mins of my time there or less minus few mins of waiting time. I emphasize that the hair was not to my liking but was made to believe it was and thats the best she could do.My hair type was blamed for it. Reviews showed male stylist here are more reliable and its true. Jack did have a lot patience cutting my gfs hair as hers was thicker then mine. Speaking of this I didnt asked my for my stylist name. Now in terms of cleanliness, they are ok. Hair not all over the place and store smells ok. For muslimah women, note that the curtain covering is not opaque(my photo shows that you can see the lights behind)can see your figure and I can see people from the inside, so i figured ppl can see me also, and you need to exit the curtain in order to walk to the hair washing area. I appreciate that they made the effort the serve the minority women but it needs to be done right. It was too late to turn so I close one eye. No receipt was given and I was not told the price.Payment was charged straight to my card. So overall, i would recommend the place if you go once a while like me because my other stylist are too busy during the festivities and my hair needs a trim desperately.Looking at the positive side, i did left with my hair cut,washed and blowed.

My stylist is Jarrett at Kovan and he has been giving me solid advice on my hair texture, colouring and etc. I like the fact that he is patient and an expert when I want to cut short my hair. Not a pushy guy and will always listens. Whenever i have any hair issue, will definitely look for him. I've also brought my kids and my mom too. They all love the way he is patient and detailed. My mom is a regular too.

Bad 'bedside' manners. After my haircut and normal hairdry, I looked like a mushroom and I have no issues with that. I know my hair type (curly frizzy) and can style it with the hair creams I have at home, I just needed a basic haircut done. While getting ready to go off, the hairdresser was obviously commenting with a colleague/friend on how I looked, and though I don't know Chinese, everyone knows who Dora is. Hold it in and gossip after your customers leave, we're not interested hearing ourselves getting made fun of after being disappointed by your service.
