One of the better wanton mee shops around. Loved the wanton. Portion not very big though. The auntie manning the cashier was really friendly.

With so many Eng's all across town, it really didn't matter any more to me. They all tasted pretty good to me. Same old familiar Eng's noodles taste and the same spiciness of their chilli sauce.

The noodles has a firm texture and it’s gloriously coated with oil. The greasy feeling stopped at that without bringing out the flavour of the seasoning. The Char Siew was hard and impossible to chew without getting choke. The look of it was not too pleasant. It was dull and tasted like its been out for way too long. The fried wanton on the other hand was to die for. Paper thin and crispy, light and cheery with every bite for a crunchy feeling.

A delicious plate of wanton noodles. $5.50. The noodles and chili sauce are the stars for me here. Chili sauce packs some serious heat. Noodles maybe the less eggy version but were springy smooth nonetheless. Tender char siew slices and wanton. The fried lard pieces adds good crunch and richness to the dish. Friendly service.

Came here by myself and ordered wanton noodle+fried wanton+lime juice. The noodle is very tasty, if you like a bit spicy, mix it with the chili and thank me later ? Friendly service Overall it was a great dish and experience, definitely will come back and recommend to you

4 stars - Very good, definitely worth a visit if you like this kind of food. Came back and decided to give the β€œdescendant” stall a chance, after trying to original chef’s stall about three months ago. TL;DR: β€œOriginal” has better soup and sides, β€œChar Siew” has better noodles and meat. I will go to β€œoriginal” for my next meal. Had a large wantan mee, small wantan mee, two pieces of fried chicken and four fried wantans; with drink, for $8 per head. Slightly more expensive than across the road. Thought the plate of wantan mee was slightly better here. Noodles felt springier and tastier, with the charsiew being a fatty and flavourful cut. Thought the chilli was still good, but not as spicy as across the road. Fried chicken was a waste of time. Soup was watery and tasteless. Stick with the wantan noodles and you won’t go wrong!

Was there on last for dinner. Yummy noodles with many years of history. It is a pity that they are closed early. I wanted to try the $10/= meal but it is not available. So l just made do with my noodles with ketchap and wantan soup. The home made barley was good too.

Delicious mushroom stew noodles. Boiled vegetables with garlic were extremely flavourful. And yeah that chili sauce really packs a punch. Fast and friendly service, too.
