β β β β β The company I am working in engaged them for a conpany team bonding event. Games that were carried out were mediocre (pretty sure a secondary school or polytechnic student can come up with better games), lack of planning for space, no communication between facilitators.
One specific facilitator made the whole experience sour. After we moved to the game station we were supposed to go to, no instructions were given by the facilitator on how to play the game. We had to look around us at other teams to figure out how to play the game. When we questioned him if we were playing the game correctly, he said no and asked us to refer to the pillar at which an A4 paper containing the instructions. The duration of the game is 1 hour long, we spent approximately 20mins figuring out how to play the game, and the remaining 40mins to figure out how to solve the game. Midway, we all got tired of trying to solve it, so we decided to peek at another group and tried to follow them for the solution. The facilitator questioned our integrity and asked how this would reflect on us. Honestly, this event is not even serious and is supposed to be a retreat for us. The whole team enjoyed the peeking more than the actual game itself and everyone had a light-hearted laugh. We told him that "teamwork makes the dream work" after he questioned our integrity, he then proceeded to walk away shaking his head. He then approached some other colleagues of mine and questioned: "Why is your team so slow? Why you guys taking such a long time to solve it?" I felt that that statement was very uncalled for. It's just a game, you don't need to be so uptight about it right? There wasn't even any points appointed for completing the game.
The only plus point of the whole event was the megabuild station.
I would recommend all to think twice before engaging them, at the same time if the faciliators has a staff named Phil, 10/10 would not recommend him to be a part of your event.
