Expensive for the few and cheap ingredients per bowl. Taste wise not quite there either.

The fried Hokkien prawn noodle is seriously good. I had a takeaway portion for $4.20 (inc takeaway box).

Thought that I need not travel to Zion road or Adam road for my prawn noodle fix anymore... sigh... Food is not bad but the attitude left much to be desired. Even if it’s next to my home, will not patronize any more (like the zi char store in the same coffee shop). Bought 3 different styles of prawn noodles, when telling the husband to collect the money, she added comments why buy 3 different versions, seems rather uncanny and unnecessary. Not that the queue is long, there’s only one other customer waiting behind. Why sell so many styles and yet unhappy that customers order differently? Isn’t more order better for her business? The chicken rice stall is much, much more busier than her business yet the owner is always extremely polite. Maybe it’s an one-off event, hope other customers do not face the same as me. Btw, it spoiled my appetite and I couldn’t finish my noodle.

My grandma loves the hokkien mee. Always order without sotong and prawn coz my grandma cant eat them. But we always got generous portions of egg and fishcake. ?

The prawn mee and laksa tastes like what my Cantonese grandma used to make and I love the homely taste, generous ingredients, generous portions and rich broth. I’ll be coming here a lot more.
