Review Update: This stall no longer sells 刀削面 (Knife-shaved Noodles) It has changed to selling Mala Hotpot instead. A hole in the wall food shop "Flavor of Chang'an" in Joo Koon Bus Interchange selling Northern Chinese 刀削面 (Knife-shaved Noodles) ? Love how the seating looks somewhat like a Japanese Izakaya. Noodles look like Kway Teow but is thicker and have a chewy bite texture. The braised Beef Pieces are aromatically spiced and the Beef Broth is mildly spicy and has a mild herbal flavour. Small bowl at $4.50 is a big and filling bowl. ? The Meat Sandwich 肉夹馍 is a very generous portion of Lightly Braised Fatty and Juicy Minced Pork Belly wrapped with Piping Hot Mantou Buns. Personally I wished they put in a few slices of Lettuce to offset the taste of Meat, but still, it is Power. ? Definitely give this a try if you are ever near the area. ?
