Fort Sanctuary @ Esplanade

It's a whole experience. You receive a warm welcome and a welcome drink, then your education begins. They'll tell you all about the different teas they produce and help you appreciate the subtle variations in each of them. Definitely recommend.

Had the signature tea (528) set and chilled for almost a good hour. Daphne and Hui Xing are approachable and making it so welcoming despite the venue arty and glamorous look. Glad I went in!

The respect to tea is clearly shown in their tea products as the tea is of exceptional quality. Thanks to Fort sanctuary for introducing the finest tea to singapore. The Christmas tea set is a great holiday gifts idea.

Pretty nice and chill for a tea place. They serve the tea at the ideal temperature (it's a big thing for me) You can come in for a cup of tea ranging between $5 - 8. Or go for a whole brew for 20++. I only had a cup of tea since I was watching a show afterwards

Daphne was such a sweet host, she walked us through the entire tea demonstration and even stayed longer to answer our questions. The place definitely had a homey feel with Daphne sharing her passion with finest tea. I will be back when I’m in the area and need to rest my feet and enjoy a cup of tea. #nomorecoffee The photo is our free gift at the end of the demo.

It's been a while since anyone's trying to do something new in tea. In the sense that they're neither following the FMCG commerical approach to tea nor the traditional chinese tea ceremony approach to tea. Fort sanctuary is trying to usher in a new kind of tea philosophy and experience that balances the mindfulness of traditional tea culture with the expedience of modernity. While it sounds like just a buzzword, their self-declaration as a contemporary tea house is actually fairly accurate. But as with anything that's genuinely contemporary, the challenge comes in the form of conveying what you're doing in a manner that is quick and easy to understand. But it's tea, the beverage that is the epitome of slowing down. You're not supposed to immediate "get tea", it's meant to be a process. And therefore like what the beverage they're championing, what fort sanctuary is doing also takes time to understand. Is that a potential "weakness" in today's market, is something we aren't qualified to talk about. But we will say that patience is the key ingredient to appreciating what fort sanctuary does, and it is absolutely worth it. At risk of making this review longer than it already is. We'll just say this: Come here with an open mind and at least 2 hours freed up in your schedule. Order the signature experience and remember to be patient and mindfully as you explore the flavors of the tea evolve over the many brews. If that sounds too complex for you, that is also fine. Fort sanctuary is also a perfectly good tea house for casual tea drinkers to just chat with friends and sip tea. The place is quiet and the service is on point. (E.g. they're patient, well-informed, willing to adapt to your needs as a customer, super hospitable and isn't all up in your face) Tldr; i had a great experience. If you like interesting teas and a quiet place, you should visit.

The mindfulness tea experience was a great foray into this tea salon that I often walked by. I found the service warm and inviting, and really enjoyed watching the tea brewing process. I certainly hope it remains a quiet, darkly-lit and plush sanctuary for someone who wants to sip on tea and decompress for a bit!
