Right in the middle of the hawker centre, no menu, just tell the chef your dishes and he will cook with what's left for the hour nearest to your request. House special bitter gourd with fish slices and the yin yang spinach soup are our favorite. Take a seat and the food will be served. Fair pricing and great tasting food. Closed early by 8.00pm

I love this place. The portions are big and the foods are delicious. I recommend the steam fish, stir fried bitter gourd fried fish, prawn paste chicken, steam fish etc. However do be prepared to wait because its pretty much a one man show and and one woman server. Wait and sometimes be till 1hr.

Patrons of Fried Bitter Gourd Fish Head loves their fresh steam fish dish at very reasonable prices. When I am there, the steam fish is a must for me. The husband and wife team managed to cook up many dishes which is well liked and patrons wouldn't mind the long wait or queue. The chef would recommend dishes and it is recommended to follow his recommendation. When i was there early evening, they were sold out and i was the second last in the queue. A lady after the cut off insisted on queuing and didn't mind any other dish available. Be there early, preferably before 6pm.

Food 3/5 Service 4/5 Price 3/5 Overall 3/5 Had the zhichar here in the evening. Ordered quite a few stuff; stir fried bitter gourd beef, minced meat, and steamed fish. Food is of average standards nothing stands out compared to normal zhichar. The owner and stall staff were friendly though! They were quite chatty, though I'm not sure if it's because I'm their last customer ? Price for 3 dishes and 3 rice is $35. Average for normal zhichar. Wouldn't return again since I've tried once.

This is a treasure. The food is like a vintage 5 star retro restaurant. Highly highly recommended. Must try to experience. Paid only $19 for such an awsome meal.

Love every single dish recommended and brought up to the table. This be how I envisioned simple home cooked fare to be, if I actually had cantonese grandparents. Nothing overly seasoned or that'll rob all that wondeful ingredients' natural tastes. Especially loved the steamed fermented shrimp paste meat patty and his signature fried black bean paste bitter gourd with fish head. Will easily vacum off 5 bowls of rice with these 2 dishes alone. Expect very long waiting queues, but food does get plated up very swiftly once you've placed your order. OMO in the kitchen. Diners without patience should avoid or immediately walk away. Amazing good value to boot.
