Newly open Fishball Noodle stall. Mee kia's texture are great. Chilli and vinegar potion just nice. Park lard size a bit too small, soften easily. Chilli lack of punch. Overall worth trying.

Nice soup at Jie Mei soup stall. No msg and sugar added. All natural! Young hawker start-up.

Tried the wan tan noodles as long queue... Somehow quite disappointed with the quality as salty although the person was friendly.

The plant shop at the market has really lovely healthy plants ! And her herbs are very very fragrant, go smell the rosemary and laksa leaves ! Cheaper than most places by 20% at least !

Taste just like my childhood. I've eaten here for many years and recently visited them again as I'm craving for kway chap tonight! 17th July 2022

There are a few new stalls offering different dining experience. Overall, the place still offer affordable food with a variety of Muslim & Chinese food

Top quality steam fish in a hawker stall. The luo han zai is so much. It will help if you know Cantonese. There's no menu here.

Quaint old hawker centre that brought many memories since I grew up here more than four decades ago. When I was a kid this food centre was bustling with life every night. Residents and aunties call this place Si Lau ε››ζ₯Ό or four storeys since the food centre is surrounded by four storey flats. Then similar to many food centres such as Lorong 8's many free standing tables and chairs will be provided outdoors in the open air and nightly it is truly a communal centre of feasting, drinking, even singing and loud conversations. Then the orh lauh or Fried Oyster Omelette, Kway Chup or Pig Organs with Noodle Sheets and Char Kway Teow were legendary. Today, sometimes I pass by in the evenings, most stalls were shuttered. More than a quarter of the stalls either unmanned or untaken. A shadow of its past. Dark and tired by day, only a few stalls were operating. Even the Ocean coffeeshop, which serves great curry fish head has more diners. So only senior residents in the area still visit for simple meals and the Cantonese Zi Char.
