โ โ โ โ โ My fav outlet of genki!!! The sushi is always so fresh and the staff are helpful. Not to mention you dont have to wait very long for seats because not many people visit the mall even at 7-8pm!!! I recommend the mentaiko fries, 3 type seared salmon and cold soba :)

โ โ โ โ โ The manager at the city square mall branch was very friendly! My friend and I entered the restaurant late and so it was like closing time by the time we were finishing our food and we still had 2 bowls of soft serve ice cream to finish. But the manager made no move to rush us and in fact told us that we could take our time while they tidied the other areas. I would definitely visit them again for their great service!

โ โ โ โ โ Genki Sushi is a great sushi place for it's price point. It serves authentic tasting sushi with fresh ingredients. There's plenty of new items each time I visit and special promotions. The DMZ menu allows people to try premium sushi at an affordable price.
In Singapore at the moment, only two Sushi chains are worth visiting at all - Sushiro and Genki Sushi. You'll find other non-chain restaurants that are better, but not as available as this!

โ โ โ โ โ Our first time to dine at Genki Sushi City Sqr Mall without waiting for so long. It only took us 10mins. But a hassle came when we placed our 1st round of order. 2 dishes of sushi and 1 bowl of noodles. Ordered at 6:18pm, waited until 7:00pm and after 2 follow ups with a staff, our 3 orders came at 7:14pm. The staff we even spoke to was even tossing QR code piece of paper on the table like no one is around. You be the judge of the food below. Waited sooo long and thatโs what you get.

โ โ โ โ โ 1. Snow Crab Croquette ($2.50 a piece) - this was very creamy and fried to perfection. Do be careful when biting into it as it is very hot.
2. Okonomiyaki ($4.60) came on a skewer. It was a little too crispy for my liking. Okonomiyaki is usually softer and chewier.
3. Agedashi Hamburg ($4.20) was pretty delicious. It almost seemed like a tofu patty of sorts, pretty soft and it was difficult to identify what was inside hamburg.
Service here was generally warm and welcoming.

โ โ โ โ โ Great Food, Fast Service But Very Close Seating Arrangement
14 June 2022 Visit
We were craving for Hana maki and visited City Sqaure Mall outlet.
Seated at the counter seat, I had ordered the Hana sushi and was still scrolling through the menu and almost hadn't noticed it had arrived in a cart perched on a track above the counter. Once the plate was removed from the cart, the cart moved back to the kitchen.
Their Hana Sushi was very good. Single piece $4.20. But very good.
The Mentai rolls and the chicken Nanban that came with a tangy tartar sauce were delicious. We had also ordered Takoyaki but I did not like it that much.
In all it was a good experience and will visit again.
The One Flaw:
The seats at the counter were quite close to one another.
The hostess kept on trying to make people sit next to one another and not haphazardly in order to make space for other potential customers.
There weren't many people and definitely no one right next to us. Else I would have given the place a miss.

โ โ โ โ โ One of the many Genki Sushis that have opened on the island. Usually long queues but this one was relatively short at about 1.30pm on a Saturday. Service was friendly and food arrived quickly upon ordering. Many items on the menus and everything seemed to be fair priced given the quality and portion size. Definitely worth a try if sushi train restaurant is something you like.
