Authentic Malay cuisine - nasi Padang, mee Soto etc. love the mee rebus at stall #139 - $3.50 and also mee Soto ($3) at warung solo. The otah at otah kampung is very interesting, full fish meat but honestly I prefer mixed with starch haha.

Worst ever Geylang Serai market ! Each stalls is badly “tented up” with merchandise everywhere. Food stall were messy and no space for people queuing for food and people to walk through. Ole ole paella is the Worst ever paella I ever tasted. It’s like mushy porridge. It’s wet . Slimy and soggy. It does not even taste 1% of any known paella. For the price of $18.90 , it’s not even worth ! No standard! Why even allowed this kind of food vendors to sell such horrible food!

A very nostalgic Food Centre in Geylang Serai where I grew up in the Kampongs in days gone by. Will make several trips there whenever time permits just to take in the atmosphere and enjoy truly authentic Malay and Indian Cuisines.???

Get all your spices, herbs, fresh and dried food there. Fruits, vegetables, fish and meat too. Great for a day out. Lots of restaurants and cafes to eat for lunch and dinner. Taxi stand very close by so you don’t have to walk with heavy bags. Close by are shopping centres if you want to stay away from the heat.

Good wet market. It was big place and sell a lot of varieties. I can find a lot of Indonesian foods and ingredients around here. There are quite a number of stores selling quite specialized food though. Compared to the one selling in Lucky Plaza, shop here sells at cheaper prices. Fresh meat closes earlier, some of the shops closes around 4pm also. It is a great place to shop for fruits as well.
