Reached here before 11am and there’s no queue, waited less than 10 mins. The abalone was nice and tender but the noodles was a tad dry and lacking the vinegar flavour. Chilli was ok. Tried mouthfuls of the spicy volcano which was very spicy. The copi-c siew dai at this coffeeshop is really balanced, nice!

Tried the volcanic mee kia but the soup is lacklustre - just comes with some red oily hue and lacks depth of flavour unlike other famous bakchormee chains (Guan's Mee Pok). The haebee hiam, meatball & ajitama egg definitely make it unique but not sure if I'd try again.

I got the most basic mince meat noodles cuz the others r kinda ex (first time here)... tookaway so quality might have dropped on my (bus) way home.. nonetheless a good bowl of bcm: tho the pork liver and ball are very average, noodles not too soft or hard But not the best bite/texture for noodles (meepok). Oh but the chili's great, packs a punch :) could have been more vinegar too... Ok I might try to dine in again IF I'm in the hood but won't travel down la

Ordered longevity mee sua, braised pork mee Pok and he bee fish meat ball via Grabfood. I would say, the longevity meesua is full of tomatoe sauce, it was sooooooo sweet I had to throw away. No vinegar taste at all. Hebee fish meat ball was soooo salty. My family felt that we might get high blood pressure eating this. Maybe it will go well with plain porridge but not eat alone like that. Gosh. Nicest was braised pork mee Pok, the taste was just right, pork was very soft, mee Pok was nicely cooked, portion was good for my husband. Didn't take a photo, cos it was delicious. Verdict: not worth to buy the normal noodles, cos there are much nicer noodles around. But you can try their braised pork noodles. Oh BTW, no soup was given at all.

I had the Spicy Volcano Mee Kia $6.80. Very spicy and nice, but if was warmer it would have been nicer. Mee Kia noodles just nice texture, Onsen Egg also very nice. Handmade meatballs also nice. Generous portions of toppings. Fish balls, mushroom, liver. Not sure if I would try it again.

Chanced upon this place and decided to try. It’s located in a coffee shop that has no drinks stall (!!). Tried the standard ba Chor mee and the volcano spicy mee kia. Verdict: BCM above average. Only 3.80, quite a decent sized portion with just enough other ingredients. Unique taste to their sauce, which is not too bad. Volcano spicy mee Kia: Not actually that spicy but just nice. Soup has a tonkotsu type flavour, very umami. Didn’t think the mee Kia would go with the soup but surprisingly it does catch the soup flavour well. Also a lot of ingredients which does justify the 6.80 cost. Overall: would definitely eat it again!

We had a wonderful meal at this place. We ordered the original pork noodles and also the Spicy Volcano Mee Kia Soup and also a bowl of Heibee Hiam Pork Liver. All very nice but the star is the Heibee Hiam Pork Liver! Let me start off with the best dish - Heibee Hiam Pork Liver! The liver is cooked just nice - it still has a nice bite to it and not raw. It requires good skill to cook it just nice. The sauce used is very full of various flavour - it is spicy, sweet and sour with just the right combination. There is also the heibee hiam which lends great depth to the flavour. Next best is the Spicy Volcano Mee Kia soup. The noodles is springy and the soup is spicy and very flavourful. Lots of ingredients too. The soup is quite unqiu. It is not curry, it is not mala and it is not sweet and sour. it has its own unique flavour. The original pork noodle was only $3.8 which is very reasonable for the amount of ingredients that they put inside. It is tasty too! They added button mushroom that seems to go nicely with the whole noodle! Update as of 21st Nov: Tried this place for the second time. Both times the noodles were over cooked and soggy. So dropped one star. Flavour is still very good!

26 Jan 2022: Ordered Abalone Pork Noodle and Longevity Mee Sua Dry and we went home fully satisfied with our choices. Noodles are nicely done with the right balance of chilli and sauces, pork liver cooked perfectly, pork ball is really shiok and soup is very flavorful. Serving is pretty generous and prices are reasonable too. Wide choices……the Original Pork Noodle at $3.80 a bowl is really value for money and we will definitely return for more yummy choices!
