One of the good chicken rice places around the Hougang area located in Hougang village. Came around 12 noon that seemed to be their prime period. The queue was the longest compared to the other stalls, and it was not because of being slow which some long queue stalls might have. Ordered a plate of steamed chicken with add on braised egg that came with a complimentary bowl of soup just like most other chicken rice stalls out there. Just a note, you can let the owner know if you want your chicken on top of the rice or seperated on another plate which I did. Staff were properly masked up, and the interior of the stall seemed well maintained. On to the main thing, the food! The steamed chicken was soft and juicy, and coupled with the sauce it was heavenly! The soup was a delight to have as well, the herbal aftertaste of the soup complimented well with the chicken rice. Rice was well cooked without it being too mushy, and their garlic chili is one of the best that I have ever tried. (Albeit being a lil too spicy for me, but my spice tolerance is pretty low). I asked for more chili and soup which they both provided without a fuss which was a surprise. Give it a try if you're around the area, but be wary of having to queue or find seats

Had takeaway lunch. Very fragrant rice - the smell of the rice is enough to wet your appetite for the rest of the dishes they offer. Beyond roast and steam chicken, they also sell braised duck, chicken cutlet, chicken feet, and char siew. All of their dishes are above average, close to perfection. Very reasonable pricing too - $3 for a plate of chicken rice.

Love the chicken rice here. The rice is well fragranted. U can smell the chicken aroma standing 2 metres away. The chicken cutlet, chicken and vegetables is nicely flavoured. Not too salty or oily. I love the soup, it has a herbal aftertaste which goes really well with the overall taste of chicken rice and it warms up the whole body and the stomach. Rly feels great to drink even when you are sick. ???????? Recommend to everyone!
