★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My idea of takoyaki is the one that's commonly sold in shopping malls 5 for $3.50 kind. This totally changed my benchmark for takoyaki. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Yummy mentaiko flavour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to Tokyo, this Gindako is the closest you can get to the one in Tokyo. Crunchy outside, gooey inside and absolutely tasty. Highly recommend, I go there quite often now. Try the 24 Takoyaki for $22 promo, it will allow you to try all three flavors (Normal, Mentai Cheese and Teritama[Teriyaki sauce and egg] )

One of my favorite spots for tako!
On the exterior, it's crispy, and on the inside, it's gooey.
But I’d prefer tako to be served hot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having been to both the outlets in Japan and Genting, the one here does a decent job and is quite up to par! As a brand, Gindaco is one of my utmost favourite takoyaki as it’s deliciously crispy on the outside while remaining soft and fluffy on the inside. The toppings and fillings are also generous. We had the original and the one with the Mayo egg toppings. Both were fantastic and flavourful.
We went around 11.30am and there was no queue, which was perfect compared to the first time we went when they first opened and had to queue for 40minutes. I’m glad this outlet didn’t sully the brand’s reputation and I’ll definitely head back again whenever the takoyaki craving hits!

Taste good.. Not too bad at all... Worth it!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 6pc Cheesy mentaiko takoyaki ($7.50) - while I do adore how the balls were cooked to a crisp on the outside while maintaining a fluid and thick filling, this was far too salty to be enjoyed (and I am not the biggest fan of ginger, which is in the takoyaki filling).
Overall too expensive for my SES and for this saltiness, but would love to be proven otherwise with the other dishes.
