Saw a one star review below who was complaining the 1-1 J passport deal which was sold out. If I am not wrong, that deal is limited to 30 sets a day.

Not bad, soft unagi. Decently charred. Although nothing insane. But it does taste good for 9 bucks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the 1 for 1 unagi don at $17.80 which comes with miso soup. For approximately $9 per person, you get A LOT of rice and a hearty portion of unagi. The unagi was cooked perfectly and I couldn’t tell any difference between this and the ones served at Una Una. No fishy taste and had the right amount of fattiness. The Japanese (I think) store owner was friendly as well. :)
Not sure why the older reviews have so much hate against this store. Probably expecting some Man Man quality for less than half the price or for the promotion to still be available after arriving at 7pm (30 redemptions/day) but hey, whatever floats your boat I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can get to taste grade A5 unagi. Wonderfully done. Not dry, terriyaki glazing not too sweet/overpowering/thick. Balanced taste when paired with rice, with bamboo salt and with their eel soup. Eel soup very nourishing (wolfberry), not salty and light. They have another branch at Tanjong Pagar Orchid Hotel. Love it ????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You are better off buying your unagi at don don donki and air frying them at home. Bought the A5 nihon premium unagi (half) at $16.90. The rice was pathetic, 1 star for the rice. The unagi was ok considering the price point, 3 stars for the unagi. The soup is bland, 2 stars for the soup.
