Amazing find! Enjoyed the food here so much. Restaurant was full house during weekend dinner so be sure to make reservation before you head here. Frozen ice towel was given to cool yourself down. Staff said towel can be placed on top of your head or on neck. Nice and fun experience. The in house sauces is so well done (especially the sauce for deep fried corn). Free flow cabbage is also given here. Here's a few items i ordered: (1) Deep fried corn is a must order as the sauce is so gooooood! (2) Grilled onigiri is nicely done! The outside is crispy and inside is fluffy. There's also mince meat mixed with rice. Another highlight of this onigiri is the bonito pickle that comes with it. This pickle has a strong smokey bonito flavour. Nice to eat on its own or with the onigiri. (3) Meatball skewer with half boiled egg and lettuce roll with otafuku sauce is yummy too! (4) Kawara ita soba and chicken rice soup and is also a good try! All skewer items are nicely grilled and meat/vegetable is not overly done. in fact for every skewer item, none of it is dry. Juice and moisture is retained for every item. The sauces used is also really good. Will surely be back to try other items as their menu is extensive!

Excellent service but very poor air conditioning. If it were not the service and pleasant talks, I and my friends would have left the store less than 2 min. The heat was instantly scorching, almost felt like I was about to be fried. All the credit to the service. (Serivce deserves 5 stars)

Note: make reservations to avoid disappointment! We chanced upon this place a year back and we have been coming back since. It’s a nice cozy place, not too crowded or noisy and most importantly food is great. Some of the food pics we ordered yesterday - all our favourite especially the corn and cabbage pork roll (salt and with their special sauce). Normally we would also order the hakata taki gyoza but it wasn’t available yesterday - this dish really taste good in our opinion.

The yellow tail sashimi, Corn, chicken skin cracker, Skewers, Chicken soup rice and free cabbage are all very yummy. Having the chicken soup rice after all skewers really refreshing. Furthermore, you can enjoy Jikon sake by small bottle !

DO NOT RECOMMEND. Second time here with friends and it was TERRIBLE. First time here last year and I had food poisoning after eating an undercooked chicken namban. I didn’t pursue it as I didn’t have photo proof even though I went to see doctor after that. The aircon here is absolutely useless (many people commented here as well, owner has replied that the aircon was fixed but we were there just yesterday and it was as if there was no aircon at all). We were sweating like crazy in the humid stuffy restaurant throughout the dinner. The younger Chinese female server was friendly and could see that she was trying her best. But the other female staff was very rude. ?????? Firstly, my orders were placed wayyyy earlier on but my friends’ and other tables’ dishes that were ordered after mine came first… I waited 2 hours for my dish and each time I asked where was it, I was only given a “the order is in already”. Before half my orders came, it was LAST ORDER already. How on Earth do we know what else to order if our dishes didn’t even come yet????? We requested for this rude female staff to give us 5 mins to look through the menu again and she bluntly said “no, last order is now”. Mind you, it was 9PM. ONLY 9PM. Afterwards We asked the younger female staff what time is their last order and she said it’s actually 9:30PM. WHAT IS THIS????? I waited soooo long for my order and it didn’t come until 10:15pm? My friends all finished eating then my pathetic shrimp came. I really don’t understand. If the kitchen missed out on my order, shouldn’t it be prioritised to clear out first???? Service is absolutely trash here even though the food quality is decent.

This place was absolutely wonderful. The staff were super friendly, good food and drinks. They also provided you with these frozen towels with a mint scent. I've never seen a place do this before, it was amazing. However the temperature was super hot. I was sweating so much that I had to get like 8 of these cold towels to cool off. The last thing you want when coming off the hot humid streets is to sit down and eat at an even hotter restaurant. So unfortunately I had to give this place a 1 star. When they fix their ac I will come back and change it to a 5.

Reviews and ratings don’t provide a full picture. Reserve yourself a seat at the counter and find that this 3.x rating isn’t a true reflection of the place. Reserved 3 counter seats for 6pm, we were the first ones there on a Tuesday night, restaurant was full by 7pm. Air-conditioning, which many locals can’t live without, was excellent. Neither too cold nor did it make you feel warm one bit. The bill came up to about $270, this included 6 drinks and many many sticks of absolute goodness. Chef was experienced and managed the orders well. The food was perfect, a must-try is their signature lettuce roll. If you reminisce time spent in an izakaya along in Japan, this is the place to be right now.
