Hmlet Cantonment - 150 Cantonment Rd

Had a wonderful stay with Hmlet Cantonment while waiting for my house renovation to be done. CBD area, quite convenient to everywhere, various food around to hunt. I booked small room but enough to fit me and my husband in. Oh ! I must mention this, all staffs are super friendly too!! Thank you Hmlet ☺️

Hmlet was my home for 10days 9nights. This co living area is wonderful. Pre-Staycay: I texted them thru WhatsApp, replies were very quick & they had answers to everything I was asking. Very polite & awesome customer service with prompt replies ⭐️ Location: navigating to the hotel was super easy, it’s right around the corner of cantonment road. It’s 10 min walk to Tanjong Pagar MRT & ~6 min walk to Outram park MRT exit G ⭐️ Day of arrival: Check in was super fast, Very easy. They just check particulars, IC/passport, Email and phone number. The staff will guide the guests to the Lift & give direction to room. I must say they’re all very friendly & Polite ⭐️ Staying at Hmlet: my room was Large room at Block B, it’s more quieter. My room was Well lit & lots of natural sunlight ⭐️ There’s aircon is every room, Controlled by remote (like at home). There’s a safe however it’s really very small I couldn’t fit my mini laptop/ iPad in it so gotta keep hiding in luggage every time I leave the room. There’s hairdryer & laundry bag. Open concept wardrobe w few hangers & drawers. A full length mirror. Large smart TV with Netflix & YouTube (I wish there were Singapore channels on the tv like Channel 5, Suria, okto, CNA, Etc) I had a kitchen in my room, with kettle, dish rack, microwave, induction & sink. Pots, pans, cooking utensils, 2 pair plates, bowls & Cutlery ALL PROVIDED ⭐️ There’s Wall power socket every where, all around the room ⭐️ 2 USB point on each side of bed ⭐️ The toilets have Bidet, rain shower! ⭐️ (my personal favourite ?) extra toilet paper rolls, towels, Shampoo, conditioner, body soap are provided ⭐️ Sheer curtain & blackout curtains on windows⭐️ There’s free coffee & fresh water at reception/ kitchen on each block. There’re some snacks & cold draft beer at a cost (get them @reception) Laundry room: it’s $4 for washing. $4 drying. Total ~1hr+ You need all $1 coins. (Able to change at reception) Detergent, bleach & softener are provided ⭐️ If you order food to the hotel, you’ll need to go down & collect it from reception. There’s a common area at the reception where guests are able to use their laptop/ work/ study, it’s super cozy! ⭐️ (free, 24hrs but first come first serve basis) Overall: All areas are very clean. The hotel corridors are brightly lit w warm lights. It’s very welcoming & cozy. The staff + security are very friendly & helpful. They take immediate actions for even the slightest inconvenience ⭐️ I’ll definitely recommend this place to my friends, family & whoever visiting SG for a long period of time. I’m very impressed, I myself will stay here again!⭐️

Stayed for 10 nights- very good price point for such a great location. The rooms facing the road can be quite loud- they were able to switch me to the back of the building after a few nights however. The outstanding points were: the service and the location, the black-out curtains, netflix tv and powerful rain shower as well as a great coffee machine (FOC) and ice water machine (FOC)

Current guest here on SHN. It’s a very cozy and neat place to stay. Quite neighborhood, though facing the road. Peaceful and calm. The staff are very polite and friendly. They go out of their way to help and tha’s very impressive. The rooms were very clean and maintained, the decor is very apt to my liking. A home ambient more than a hotel.

The place is great. The AC maintenance is horrible or non existent. You can see in my photos the state of the ACs in Block A full of mold. As well as the unit in my room which clearly hadn't been cleaned in possibly year or more. Upon mentioning this the filter was cleaned but the rest of unit was left as is. If you have allergies, probably a big pass. If not, still might be a good idea to at least check the unit in your room. If it weren't for this. Then 5 stars would be the rating.

Amazing stay, super helpful staff and the best vibes in town ? disclaimer! I’m bias, but really enjoyed it. I’m very much looking forward to being back this June, since my last stay was years back

PSA: They are one of the few accommodations that allow pets below 5kg and is reasonably priced (albeit there are a few extra charges and t&c involved) Absolutely enjoyed my 2 week stay with my cat in the medium room. Room was clean, housekeeping twice a week by extremely friendly and hardworking housekeepers, reception was very helpful and friendly, beds were a good height and pretty tall so I could stuff many luggages and items below the bed to clear more floorspace, soundproofing between rooms was quite good but not so within the walkways. Downside is that the pool was extremely tiny and quite unappealing, shared kitchen was a little awkward and oftentimes dirtied because many people were inconsiderate, shared fridge was full most of the time, kitchen and fridge was full of unlabelled and unclaimed items that I believe was not cleared because they did not want to waste food as they can be shared amongst guests, no concierge, and no dining or proper exercise facilities. However, the stay was overwhelmingly enjoyable and I would definitely choose Hmlet again if I wanted another stay in town area with my cat.

A hotel with great bones, designed with great taste. Walls were relatively soundproof. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Its location is great, being near 2 train stations and lots of amenities. WiFi was stable and fast. Rooms were on the cleaner side, toilet bowl in particular was sparkling. However, upholstery in the premises weren't that well maintained-armchair in the room had a huge liquid stain on the seat. Common areas such as the pantry were quite dirty, and the laundromat smelled mouldy. 1 dryer cycle on high heat isn't enough to dry a small load of clothes and we had to hang it all to dry in our room still. You'll have to get water from the common pantry as a kettle isn't provided in the room. Beware of the ice machines, some of them look unsanitary. Getting in and out of the premises, especially when raining, was extremely inconvenient and perhaps even dangerous. They have locked the side entrance of the compound, so the only way to walk in is through the car park gantry, where there are blind spots and little space to walk. Housekeeping is only done twice a week. There's much to be desired about staying here- given the price, you could get a full-service hotel stay. This feels more like a pricey hostel if you ask me.
