Prices are affordable and ambience is quiet and not too crowded on a weekday night.
Their Saba fish is fresh & fragrant. ?
Will definitely return for more.

β β β β β My all-time favourite food from Hwang's is Kimbap. It's $3 at science canteen and $3.50 at Utown. Used to be $2.50 but it's alright I ain't complaining; it's still pretty affordable anyways. Not to mention it's also delicious and nutritious! I mean just look at all the ingredients -- cucumber, carrots and authentic korean pickled radish for the fibre you need, sausage and eggs for protein and of course, rice with vinegar and a light touch of sesame oil for carbo. All around great snack/lunch when you wanna get a quick bite in between classes.

β β β β β One of the best places for Korean food at economical prices. Servings were generously huge and the sets were really value for money. Ordered ginseng chicken soup rice set, bulgogi beef/chicken and pork/chicken sets, though priced at food court or coffee shop prices, the serving size of the meats are easily doubled. A plus is they actually have special bottled juice drinks imported from Korea, with flavors that you donβt commonly see in the food courts.
Will definitely be back, and bringing my parents and friends along as well!

Very value for money and best of all taste very good. to us, the sundubu jjigae taste as good as sbcd tofu house! best ginseng chicken soup i've tasted so far, with mild ginseng fragrance that can be tasted. japjae is very good too, balanced of sweet and salty taste.
The boss and staff are very friendly
