Very grateful to Mr Chris Siew from Ideal Design. He is responsive, responsible and reliable. (1) Mr Siew is responsive to queries and suggestions. Within reasonable working hours (people need to knock off too), his responses were timely, informative and helpful to the renovation project. (2) He personally and Responsibly helped tie up any cleaning up that needed to be done. He also kept to his word n chased us for the colours n other specifications etc. As a result, our renovation was completed ahead of schedule, a very pleasant surprise n big help to our planning (3) Most importantly, Reliable E.g. If something was not necessary, Mr Siew was honest and suggested that we did away with that item - cost-savings. We're very grateful for his honest dealings.

This is the first time that I've encountered an ID company that presented me with a quotation instead of a design idea after telling them that I would like to have. Not even a simple design idea was suggested. I was told that it's their policy to "design only upon endorsement of contract". Seriously, how is a client supposed to agree to paying without even seeing a proposal? Not even a 2D sketch effort was put in. Furthermore, prices quoted were almost 40 to 50% higher than the rest. Imagine being asked to pay $1800 for painting walls that will be covered by wallpaper and a full height TV storage console. Why would these walls need to be painted in the first place?

It was a big regret hiring Ideal Design to do my renovation as we faced alot of issues with them. They did not complete the project on time and only finished up the final touches almost a year after we moved it. alot of issues with my kitchen especially. Solid surface top kept cracking next to the stove. Within 2-3 years, kitchen cabinets below the sink started rotting because of poor installation of the sink and water seeped into the wood. I have to now change the whole cabinet because of it. When contacted Ideal Design about it, they were very rude to us accusing us of spoiling it ourselves and saying 1 year warranty period is over. They even went to the extend of sending us a lawyer letter threatening to sue us if we kept complaining about it. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a Reno company and i hope no one goes through our plight. We pay so much of money to Reno companies to live happily in our homes. Never regret for putting my faith and leaving my house to Ideal Design Interior after comparing with other ID firm. I would like to have a big thanks to Brian for helping me to convert my Punggol 4 room flat to my dream home! I met Brian 3 years ago and did only the basic but now, with the latest upgrade, I am so pleased with the outcome! ?
