Visited the store at Bugis Junction and was impressed by the variety of projectors they had. Unfortunately, the staff there was not very interested in explaining the differences in product specs

Very innovative beamers, doing a great job in informing you on the spot about all different types of beamers. After I have done some research, it became clear to me that they have a big advantage on their competitors regarding the functionalities, quality and price all together. Thanks to help of Melvin and a couple of days earlier also his manager (can’t remember his name)

The shop main product is their own designed projector. Mostly the portable and mini type. The sales guy is enthusiastic about promoting the projector. They tell you the true info and do not hesitate to tell you the hard truth.

Innovative could have been a great company but it seems that their smart projector have faced many difficulties. DS8 in particular has faced many problems. Initially there was still Google play but now is aptoide an alternative solution platform. We had to do a 1 to 1 exchange for our DS8 as the initial projector (from bugis) had an outdated software which cannot be updated manually. That projector could not play YouTube, could not browse internet properly, frequent Bluetooth disconnections and even internet disconnections (projector was right in front of the router). After exchanging, our current one was doing much better but after a while it started to slow down default interface became really laggy, Google play became unstable, aptoide YouTube (smart tube) endless loading black screen etc. We had to take the projector down to get it fixed. It was the 3rd time we went down to find out that Google play is no longer available for this "smart projector" and aptoide is the only alternative way to go about. After getting our projector fixed, all we had left is aptoideTV and Netflix. Browsing through the internet tends to be not stable still, their YouTube still unable to load videos (might need to try an older version.). We tried downloading apps from aptoide to learn that some apps were not real and had nudity which hangs the projector, we had to be extra careful to make sure that the apps on aptoide have to be green ticks. It is a lot of hassle and time consuming. I had also spoken to a staff name Regina, and she had informed me that there is no longer Google play as the license with innovative was not renewed. Overall, we had to do our own investigation and put all the pieces together (over 1 year) to find out the real issue which is licensing problems. It was extremely exasperating and time consuming too. If we had knew about the issue at hand, we would have just bought a TV box to salvage this projector. Note: For people who are intending to get their smart projectors please bear this in mind. Cons: 1. There is no Google play store. 2.There is only Aptoide 3.I understand from Regina that they are using 3rd party apps. 4. Projector software updates would require you to go down to their service centre to do updates. (We had to update at least twice a year) 5. Speed of the user interface is moderate 6. Battery life won't last for an entire movie (2hrs) 7. Any usb device connected to the projector will be extremely hot Pros: 1. Visual clarify and image is good , I think that is their strength. 2. Probability and good to carry. 3. Medium distance projection which is great for small rooms. 4. HDMI port is the saviour as you can connect your TV box or TV stick to access Google play etc. Suggestion: innovative, I hope you can find a way around your licensing issue. Perhaps you can collaborate with xiaomi TV stick to solve your android issues. Because honestly 1.6k projector with an Aptoide ? You must be kidding. 29/4 - reply below Aptoide has apps that are not genuine which causes the projector to hang or get stuck in images with nudity and can't be exited. I have to turn off the projector to restart it. Your projector can be crippled. Not built to be not crippled. Android and Google play will not cripple your projectors. The apps in Aptoide are managed by individual users unlike a centralised store like Google play. Aptoide heavily dependent on users reporting and feedback of each app placed on their store. 1.6k SGD smart projector with no peace of mind ? Ridiculous. If looking solely as a typical projector it is pretty good. But as an android one. Horrible. You should consider selling as a non smart projector instead. The exchanges and technical services gets directed to sim lim by your staffs. So, Your poor "staff" who is actually a retailer, handles all the technical problems and exchanges. So how is that your life long service? Your DS8 is no longer in production. If it needs to be exchanged I would have to top up more money for a DS9 with the same issue. Your life long service is pointless.

I have been wanting to buy a portable projector but not sure which one to buy. I decided to give this shop a visit to find out more. I noticed their staff are very accommodating, not pushy. Even you don't intend to buy, they also treat you well. I was showed all the models. I did not buy on the spot. I did further research . After much thought, I decided to buy the K6s Smart( it took me 3 weeks to decide by the way). I am very happy with it. The picture quality is really very good .I can binge watch Netflix and You Tube in big screen. What's more, I can use it for my presentations in the office. It so lightweight I can easily put it in my handbag . Their after sales service is also very good. I forgot how to do screen mirroring using my phone and I called them on a Sunday and they pick up my call :)

Frequented the two premises at Bugis and Sim Lim Square to test out their top end projector. Staff are cordial and most willing to demonstrate the sets. Boss is very friendly and candid. A small issue cropped up in my purchase, but have since been resolved satisfactorily by the boss. Will come back again.

Very bad after-sales service. Proceed only if you have done your research. I bought an Innovative projector for $1.8k and after 4 years it became faulty. I sent it in for repair but upon collection, I did not know I had to show a repair form to collect my projector. Having gone all the way down already, I apologised and asked the lady if she could make an exception. I showed all the details of my projector (serial no, model etc) as well as my personal details for verification, but she insisted on seeing my form. She became very unreasonable, rude, sarcastic and refused to return me my projector. The most ridiculous part? She told me my projector cannot be repaired because it is no longer in production - this means she knows I’m the owner of the projector right? And telling me it’s irreparable and still refusing to return me my faulty set?? Since she was the same lady who took my projector in for repair, I tried to reason with her to recall my repair case just a few weeks back, but I do not fault her if she does not recognise me, thinking that perhaps she receives a lot of repair cases like mine. Her service is just so incredulously bad and unreasonable that I gave up and left. Anyway, after leaving empty-handed, I sent an email to the support team seeking their approval to return me my faulty projector. It’s been a week and I have yet to receive a reply. So if I do manage to get back my faulty projector, I’m either left with a $1.8k paperweight or have to trade it in for another $1k+ model which I’m not sure will last how long. I’m all for supporting local brands but this experience has left a very bad taste. Understand it’s SOP for forms but in this era when we have so many credible alternatives for verification please be reasonable. For a brand called Innovative? This service is far from it.

I just got a DS9 mini projector as I find it good as my friend recommended it, he bought it before the covid19, last 2 years, and it is still performing well. I want it! it is on my checklist and I start saving money. So far, has thought to myself that it is not cheap to own it. I'd be testing elsewhere to see if any projector is close to its brightness and less expensive. Oh god, I hate it as some brand was not as great as Innovative ds9! I'm impressed by the projection color and how smoothly it operates to get things done. The staff over there was too patient and caring enough to show me everything and it has pretty cool keystone memory features. Also, they will provide reasonable advice on your requirement. You will find all projector types, mini projectors, and office projectors, it is like projector heaven. This place is just next to the Action City shop, their outlet deco alike home cinema concept xD.
