★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down my favourite mala in Singapore. It is also priced very decently. The photo attached is about less than 15SGD.
They also use lots of onion and garlic bits to fry the ingredients in, making it flavourful. It is not oily, yet the cooks were able to fry up the ingredients to an extremely fragrant state. Super delicious. A must try if you are around paya lebar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My fave Mala place in the east side - reasonable prices (pictured is for 3 pax w 1 bowl of rice - $22), and you can customise the numbness in addition to the spiciness level. If you ordered too much, keep it as leftovers - still tastes great after putting it in the microwave. This place is too underrated!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super value for money Ma La Xiang Guo. 大辣 is actually quite spicy and you can also add the numbing spice (多麻). The garlic, peanut, and ginger that they add to the stir fry are all also really fragrant and flavorful. The shallots kind of absorb the taste of the ma la sauce.
Definitely recommend this place. It's really good in terms of taste and spice. And to top it off, it's also super value for money. Only thing is that it is quite oily even after asking for less oil. I also wish that they offer a spice level above 大辣. Seats are quite limited but it's not crowded near opening hours!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like Mala Xiang Guo, and this one consider above average compare to others with quite reasonable price. The soup version also not bad; I usually order takeout as their seats are very limited, or you got to chop seat before you place your order.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty and surprisingly affordable! Was expecting this to be quite expensive since it’s a standalone store in a shopping mall, but I only paid about $12.60 – about the same price as food courts. Not the best mlxg I’ve had, but definitely above average. Would come back again.
Minus one star because it was very oily even after I asked for less oil.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried their mala lunch set which costs $6.50 which comes with chicken, mushroom, some vegetables and a bowl of rice. The portion was just right for me and it tastes really good and authentic. Their spicy level is high too. Their mild spicy is equivalent to the medium spicy I usually have elsewhere.
Overall I enjoyed my meal and will be back again next time. Their prices are reasonable, and more so with their value set.
