Just tried the current promotion chicken cutlet set. Great value in terms of 3 choices of sides plus a soft drink. However the seasoning of the cutlet was uncharacteristically salty otherwise the cutlet was moist and batter was satisfyingly crunchy.

The food was good. The queue system was slow and there were quite afew empty tables. We decided to take away as it was faster. They did not give utensils for our side dish - Mashed potato. However the food quality is there. Would recommend the food but not really this outlet.

I visited your SingPost centre outlet this afternoon at 304pm and was served by an elderly lady. I didn't get her name but the receipt listed it as "Ariel". This lady was super friendly and engaging without going overboard. Little things she did came from the heart like proactively adding little ice to my takeaway drink and advising me how best to pay using my Capitaland voucher. Superb service, great attitude and tasty chicken (mashed potatoes a bit bland though). 10/10 would recommend. Thanks!

I’ve heard about Chic-a-boo from friends so when I was in the vicinity yesterday, I gave it a try. Boy, was it good! The fried chicken is hot, spicy and crispy! They also have tons of sides to choose from (sweet potato fries, garden salad, wedges) so you don’t always have to have mash and coleslaw with your fried chickens all the time :) Will try them again if I see another outlet.

Chic-a-boo outlet is located on the ground level of SingPost Centre. It is open and airy and has the traditional Western country barn look. Chic-a-boo at SingPost Centre operates like a typical fast food restaurant. You go up to order and pay at the cashier’s counter and will be given a buzzer. You collect drinks from the cashier’s counter and collect your food from the collection point when prompted by the buzzer. The black pepper burger is amazing, it is from the kitchen pipping hot and juicy and served on the spot after collecting from the counter. Chic-a-boo is another chain of restaurants by Astons. It offers quality fried chicken at affordable prices and also serves burgers, baked rice, pasta and various side dishes. It has outlets in Marina Square, City Square, Sembawang and Chai Chee and has just opened a new store in SingPost Centre. Totally agree that it is the best fried chicken. Chicken was juicy. Service can improve in term of providing cutleries upon collecting the food.

The restaurant is easily accessible from Paya Lebar MRT. It seems to be quite manpower short hence you might need to queue outside for a while before the staff allows you to go in to the ordering counter. The fried chicken is crispy and juicy. The portion of the sides can be a little small for some people but taste is decent.

Worse experience to chic a boo. Ever. I have visited chic a boo a few times and I was thrilled to introduce it to my friend. However, it became the worse dining experience for us. There were two signage that shows the menu at the exterior of the restaurant and we were deciding on our food there before we proceed into the restaurant to order. When I saw the menu on the counter, it seems that whatever I wanted to order were not available. Pot pie? NO. Sweet potato fries? NO. Burgers? NO. Fried fish? NO. They were all taped out and the cashier commented that taping the unavailable options on the larger menus don't look pleasing to the eyes. Then, is this a market gimmick? Enticing customers with the wide variety of options but most of it were unavailable. Despite all these, we proceeded to order fried chicken with sides but damn. It was horrible too. The marinade of the chicken wasn't as good as before, cream of chicken soup is barely luke warm. My friend's mashed potato is bad, chilli and tomato sauce tasted weird. Both service and food were not up to expectations, no reasons to patronise again. My friend had sent an email to chic a boo as well, please respond.

One of my favourite fried chicken choice, the chicken is less juicy or crispy, but it’s tastier than other fried chicken out there… they also offer variety of side dish options with very reasonable price.
