Delicious ramen with reasonable price. You can select how your noodle is cooked. Good and quick service. You may have to queue for a table.

Ippudo is definately one of the best ramen joints in Singapore. Their standards are very consistent and good. Being in MBS, their prices are a bit more expensive than other outlets it seems, I had the super spicy black which is a singapore fav for 27 Bucks so we could add noodles and share and the kids had the kids meal at 12 Bucks which was decent with a drink. Will definately be back.

After a visit to Gardens by the Bay, headed to the comforts of Marina Bay Sands Shoppes to cool off and to enjoy dinner. Chose to dine at Ippudo as the craving for the Honten in Hakata, Fukuoka, is strong. Feeling really thirsty, a most often denied option was made and a can of Coca Cola was ordered. Sigh, so expensive. Hahaha. Ippudo is best known for their Tonkotsu broth and was the first Ramen Champion in Japan. Ordering the store's specialty Akamaru Shinaji, it brought back memories of that first meal at Ippudo's Honten. Alas, after that first bite, it was obvious the difference in quality between the Honten and this outlet at MBS. However, for a quick fix, the outlet in Singapore is still considered as acceptable. General Verdict: Overseas outlet of famed Japanese Ramen shop IPPUDO, serving up favourites to those of us unable to travel at the moment Opening Hours: Daily 11am-10pm Queue Situation: No queue outside of meal times, otherwise roughly 20mins to 40mins during meal times Price: SG$20-SG$40 per pax Payment Mode: Cash and all Major Credit Cards (Physical and Paywave) Items Ordered: 1) Item: IPPUDO Gyoza (5 pieces serving) - IPPUDO's original pan-fried chicken dumplings Description: The gyoza was not pan-fried but steamed. Skin tasted of flour. Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$9++ 2) Item: Akamaru Shinaji - IPPUDO's original creamy tonkotsu (Pork Bone) broth enhanced with special blended miso paste and fragrant garlic oil, adding depth and richness when mixed. - Served with thin noodles, simmered pork belly, black fungus and spring onions Description: A good fix to satisfy the craving but not as good as that served at the Honten. The broth was a little thin. Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$18++ 3) Item: Karaka-Men - Enjoy the piquant flavours of our original silky pork broth (Tonkotsu) blended with a myriad of spices, sweet and spicy miso bean sauce and Japanese peppers. - Served with thin and curly noodles, minced meat, miso paste, pork belly chashu, pork loin, spring onion and bean sprout Description: A good fix to satisfy the craving. The chashu was a little dry even in the soup. Verdict: Good, Can Order Price: SG$19++ 4) Item: Crab Fritz - Deep Fried Japanese mini crabs Description: Taste more of flour than of the crabs Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$6.50++ 5) Item: Tori Karaage - Deep Fried battered chicken Description: Not crispy and the chicken tasted soggy Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$6.90++ 6) Item: Coca Cola Light - Served in a mason's jar with a slice of lemon Description: For those with a little sweet tooth Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want Price: SG$4++ 7) Item: Goma Ice Cream - Black Sesame - 3 small scoops per serving Description: Ice cream did not have much flavor Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$4.30++ 8) Item: Yuzu Honey Kome Kome - Yuzu Sherbet on Honey infused dense cake that is made from a special ingredient called Rice GelΓ©e Description: The cake was too dense, sticking to the teeth, and did not match up well with the sherbet and syrup Verdict: Acceptable, Order only if you want to try Price: SG$5.90++

We hadn’t had a meal at Ippudo for quite a while, and the Akamaru special ramen were still very good, if a little oily. The four char siu pieces were thick and juicy, and very tasty. The chicken karaage were also very nice, crispy and full of flavour. We also liked the gyoza, which were a tad small, but flavourful. It was good that they provided cool or warm water for free. Service was quick and efficient.

I feel the broth here is much better than other outlets I had tried. Business is very good there, if you go after 9.30pm the side dish may sold out. Settle for a hot bowl of ramen is sastifying.

I usually go to the Mandarin Gallery main branch, but when at MBS, would drop by their outlet here too. This time tried their tea rice too. First time tasting Japanese tea rice. Not bad at all.

Decent ramen at affordable prices, one of the more economical options at MBS. There wasn’t a crowd on a weekday night and we were able to get our food in minutes. However, side dishes were not that great, not worth topping up to the set meal.
