Island Maids - Indonesian Maid Agency

Over the past 12 years, I have hired helpers from different agencies. But the one which recently impressed me most is from Island Maids Jurong East branch. The staff who attended to me was so efficient and knowledgeable in that within a day, I was provided with helper’s profile that suits my requirement. I strongly believe that this is through their dedicated commitment and management guidance and it is not about securing a customer but truly satisfying customers to fulfil their real need. My experience with Island maid is indeed tramautising! I would like to reverse my earlier opinion of Island maid who has in fact provided a very bad service three months after I had given them an excellent review in google.. after the maid left us in less than 2 months, they never make an effort to provide a suitable replacement and we eventually decided to forgo our replacement maid, lose the agency fees and wasted the $1.7k FDW quarantine fees (for her stay at the SHN hotel in Year 2021 before she came over to start work at our house).

Among the various agencies which I enquired help for my aged mother, the service noted at Island Maids Jurong outlet is quite worth mentioning. Firstly the staff was very patient to understand my requirements. Secondly they noted down all my special requests. Thirdly they go all out to try identify the most suitable candidate even it took some days. Unlike other agencies where they will more keen to close the deal than our needs Well done Island Maids.

This is basically just a company that help you to find helper for the start. If you are looking for a reliable employment agency for your helper and thinks that you have the agency to assist you if anything happen, please skip this agency. Reply is super super slow, not responsive when bad incident happen when the helper is with us. They will basically collect the money and people in the company will most likely not care as it’s none of their business. 0 sense of responsibility. We as employer, have to ownself call and arrange the flight for the helper after knowing items was attempt stolen. (So take note that we have to ownself call the airport, embassy to find out about the pre departure requirement, book the ticket ourself, ASK OTHER AGENCY which airport to send her to, speak to her ourself, find termination contract ourself, settle everything ourself, send her to airport ourself, helping her or check in airport ourself. ) Till now, almost 12 hours. 0 replies from the agency despite multiple call and text from direct WhatsApp. So, I’ll say. Don’t expect any single help from the EA if things happen. If nothing happen, god bless you and your family. Otherwise, seek help and find solution yourself or from other agency that are nice enough to advise you despite having 0 benefit. (You got to be lucky for other agency to help you with no benefit though, thank god we manage to find it for this time round for the covid test questions and name of airport to send her to based on her address) Disappointed that things had happen, but more disappointed in the unprofessional of an Employment agency which should assist employer when things happen. 0 after service rendered.

This is the 3rd time I'm hiring a maid from Island Maids and I must say there is a reason why I trust them with my maid search. Each time, they would review and check if there are any changes to my family's requirement and make their recommendations. So far, the current helper is doing well. Took a little longer to adapt, but attitude is good. I have recommended Island Maids services to my friends and will continue to do so!
