โ โ โ โ โ 2nd time back to this gem of a place introduced through word of mouth. Was really impressed with the quality and speed. Every dish that I tried had surprised my expectations! Was particularly to my liking was how close the standard you can find in Penang. Authentic and definitely high quality. There are both indoor and outdoor sittings. My favourite has to be the chay kway teow, rojak and the refreshing bandung! Highly recommended

โ โ โ โ โ Gong Bao mantis shrimp was delicious and crispy. Also like ๅๅคงๅคฉ็ใAssam curry fish head was not bad but not enough assam. Usually either curry or assam fish head. This is like mix of both. Chendol was delicious and good.

โ โ โ โ โ One of my favourite place to satisfy my craving for Penang food.
You have to try their rojak and chendol! I'm not a fan of rojak or chendol but they won me over!! It's on my must-order-list whenever I'm there.

โ โ โ โ โ Was recommended to this restaurant courtesy of another review that we were about to visit in the area.
As we turned the corner of the restaurant, we were surprised to see that the indoor seating were filled at 5.45pm on a weekend - had to wait for a seat unless you are fine sitting outside the restaurant.
? assam curry fish head was flavourful enough, yet not too spicy - didnโt really taste much of the coconut milk to make it super wow, but still really good especially at $24! The portion was really generous too, fish head was massive, and comes with loads of vegetables ??
? the deep fried squid was a late addition since we wanted to try out something extra from the menu, and it was definitely a good choice. Well seasoned and fried, could definitely chew on the meat instead of just eating the flour.
? Penang char Kway Tiao was like a quiet dish on its own, doesnโt come with an overpowering taste of wokhey, but good in its own respect
? the 3 assorted egg spinach was the only letdown of sort, the soup not tasting like much, and there isnโt enough of the typical 3 eggs you would see in other restaurants
Deep fried beancurd skin was good on its own, though you could dip it in the curry for extra flavour if you would so love ?
Would definitely return to try their other offering, and come before 6 if you donโt wanna wait, the long queue stretches on till 7.30pm+ when we were still walking around!

โ โ โ โ โ Good food especially the Penang fried Kwetiau. But not the service was hastened to leave ( while we still having our chendol) a few time even when it was only 2:35 pm. It won't happened if the friendly Lady boss was there.

โ โ โ โ โ Penangite here. This is one of my go to place for penang food. The CKT is really good, has wok hey taste! Penang hokkien mee used to be better, but still ok. The ladies fingers with ikan bilis is probably the best Iโve had. Delicious chendol too.

โ โ โ โ โ Have you tried this popular penang food spot in the West?
? ?????? ????? ???? ???? ($?)
A staple dish, we couldn't miss out on this. Can't comment on the authenticity but the sweet-savoury comes with wokhey.
? ?????? ??????? ????? ?????? ($?)
Add in a dollop of chilli and mix well! This bowl of curry noodles came with prawns, beancurd skin, chopped long beans, egg, taupok and fishcake. A comforting rendition!
? ?????? ????? ??? ??? ($?)
More commonly referred to as 'ngoh hiang', the packed meat roll is crispy. But overall, nothing to shout out about this or the fried tofu.
? ?????? ????? ????? ($?)
A sour and spicy rendition! This is surely packed with flavour. The hearty bowl of noodles came with boneless fish flakes. Personally, I am not a fan of prawn paste so this rendition was just right for me (though diners used to authentic penang assam laksa may prefer to add in more prawn paste which is provided at each table).
? ????? ????? ??????? ($??)
Spotted this on someone's table and hunted the menu for this dish ? Chicken is well-marinated and tender at parts. Rich and flavourful sauce would be ideal for pairing with plain rice. Also available in a bigger portion for $22 ?
? ?????? ??????? ($?)
Highlight of the evening was definitely the chendol. Authentic with strong gula melaka taste ?
Overall, we did feel like the food standards dipped from when I last visited a couple of years back but the undying queues pay testament to the everlasting popularity of this eatery.
Reservations are not allowed, though if you're open to outdoor seats you can skip ahead of the queues!

โ โ โ โ โ Very popular Penang restaurant and expect to queue during peak hours. Price is very reasonable and food is good. However, I feel that the dishes arenโt really authentic Penang. The Rojak for example is no different than our local version. The chendol in the other hand is very good and recommended. We paid only $57 for threes persons for 5 dishes and we each had dessert.
