Surprising find for me. The dishes are good and affordable, remember, there is no meat in it. The best one i've tried is the briyani, hands down. But i find the candied ginger inside their "meatball" a bit too heavy handed.

Good vegetarian food in a quiet corner of Clementi. Had their signature noodles and Lor mee. Overall not bad at reasonable price. Taste is average though.

Tried the prawn kway teow and dry noodles. Prawn kway teow would have tasted better with the traditional hokkien mee yellow noodles but opted for this as the noodles were out of stock. Both dishes were tasty and filling. The thing I appreciate was also that the taste among different outlets (Clementi and Aljunied) is pretty similar and consistent. Also, one could see the ingredients and garnishing are pretty well thought out, and not just anything that is available at hand. For eg I was pleasantly surprised to find konbu seaweed in the soup of the prawn kway teow. The attitude of one of the staff at the Aljunied outlet could be improved during communicating with customers to provide a better experience. But overall, Jixiang vegetarian as a whole is recommended, especially chicken rice and its dry noodles!

I like all their food except I haven’t tried the porridge and zi char. Signature noodles (in the pic below) is one of the best dishes. They also serve zi char dishes. The only zi char food I ate were petai fried rice, Tom yum fried rice and hor fun gravy. They cooked with wok hey. It was tasty and portion was quite big with variety of ingredients. Go to roundmama.wordpress.com for more food recommendation and baby-friendly nice restaurants. ?

Tasty food, generous portion, good for value. At lunchtime queue can get rather long so come earlier (before noon). Chicken rice, porridge, mee Siam are great. Recently tried egg hor fun for $5 at dinner time. Was tasty with lots of egg and wok “smell”. I tossed the mock meat and prawn and fish cake cos I just don’t like mock very much.
