★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very chewy and textured noodles. And the soup has got a lot of wok hey flavour, not just bland soup.
Food preparation is definitely on a slow side. I was there on a Saturday 1030am, which is not peak yet.
Portion wise may also be a bit small for adults. Since there’s only minced pork and a few stalks of vegetables, recommend to upsize or order something else for a more filling meal.
Definitely not worth queuing, unless there’s only 1-2 people in front of you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have always wanted to visit Jiak Song when they first open their first outlet at Telok Blangah. Later learnt that they open an outlet in Bedok which is so much nearer for me. Decided to drop by on Monday for dinner. Reached there around 7.45pm and there was a short queue. Waited for about 15mins and I was able to order.
Things were going fine until the queue started to get long. The staff continued taking in more order despite the fact they clearly couldn’t handle the demand. This is when I noticed they have lost track of the orders. Ordered ban mian but was given mee hoon kway not once but thrice. Not only that, because of the orders they have messed up, people whom ordered after me got their food first.
When the kitchen is overwhelmed, mistakes would definitely have followed. Ordered item no.3 from their signboard, sliced pork was missing, felt so cheated. On a more positive note, broth was very rich and has a hint of smokiness. Meatball was nicely marinated.
Instead of opening more branches, think the place should focus on training the staffs and to ensure the quality of food is delivered. Hopefully the experience would be much better if I have happened to try it again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Order a dry and soup version. It is shocking to my palate!! The soup was great that keep having the wok hey taste or smell which I am confused. But the real deal was the dry version. The impact is much greater. The mhk is good texture, got the nice chewing pleasure. It is hand torn then purely cut pieces which it create the layer feeling at some edges. The meat ball and prawn ball is good. Chilli is good as well. Verdict? Refer to my picture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the best part about this meehoonkuey soup is the chewy noodles. the pork balls did not pair well with the smokey-ness of the soup which was too jelat. An interesting taste which is not for everyone, not what im looking for in a bowl of soup.
you might want to order the dry version and have the soup as a side so it doesn’t overwhelm the dish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Short queue on a Sunday evening. Love the soup, although a bit on the salty side. Chilli is nice. Overall taste is good. Minus point is the coffee shop. Many uncles at one corner betting horse and smoking. See the last photo, even got one uncle brought his own speaker, blasting music loudly and smoking INSIDE the coffeeshop! No staff stop him from doing these.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the standard bowl dry version $4.50, which also comes with a bowl of soup.
There's black sauce at the bottom of the Mee hoon kway. What's nice is the chewy texture of their handmade noodles, and the flavourful soup which has some wok hei taste. I will order this again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I must say I usually am a big fan of google reviews but this is the one time that google reviews has failed me spectacularly. This bowl of mee Hoon kueh is the best meehoonkueh I’ve ever eaten! Let’s start with the broth. I don’t know how they do it but it has this wokhey Smokey flavour and it is truly outstanding. The broth is flavourful, thick and extremely addictive. The meehoonkueh itself is also stellar - it was very very chewy and usually I’m a fan of noodles on the softer side but this was just the right amount of chewy and so, went amazing with the broth. The ikan bilis was crispy and not completely soggy even though it got soaked in the broth which just shows they really bothered to fry it well and that it’s fresh, unlike other stalls with ikan bilis that are not crunchy. Literally everything was so good about this bowl I will be craving and coming back for sure! My companion also ordered the dry you main and it was extremely good too - for some reason it has the same wokhey smoky flavour although I can’t imagine how…? But it was rly good and the texture is similar to that of a mazesoba. Only possible downside would be perhaps that the wait is slightly longer - but so worth it for this amazing bowl! I loved it so much!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been wanting to try this for a long time but no where near I stay. Today bumped into it. At last. The dough was ready made from central kitchen, I think, but machine rolled and stripe cut on the spot. The soup base has an excellent smoky fragrance. Very unique. Serving took about 5 min which I understand is due to hand made processes. If there is one thing I'd like better, it's the ban mian which was quite hard. Would like it softer. Overall I'd like to try the dish again.
