Damage ?: Wallet friendly Shiok-ness ?: Sibei Shiok IG-worthy ? : Well, it’s a coffeeshop We travelled from all over Singapore (Punggol, Serangoon, Bedok, Clementi) to Yishun just to try The famous stingray - Worth it. You would think young hawkers can’t handle traditional food. But not the case here. The Young master Chef grilled the stingray perfectly and his homemade sambal was out to kill. Spicy yet shiok. So spicy you wanna stop but you just can’t. End up gobbling down 2 large stingrays, 1 plate of kangkong and lala. The drink stall owner must be happy to be located infront of him cause wave after wave of customers have to buy drinks to put out the fire from the sambal. KTPH is also situated nearby if you can’t handle the heat.

The food experience is horrible. Sotong is not fresh. It is mushy and have a foul taste. The stingray is dry. The Lala has sand in them. All seafood died in vain. Highly not recommended.

Came here twice. Didn't order the stingray the 2nd time but YES for the salted egg calamari. The Squid was light and crispy drenched in steamy salted egg sauce. The sizzling egg tofu was pretty standard, not amazed nor disappointed but was freshly cooked & sizzling so good enough.

We have ordered these from JIAO CAI hot plate BBQ. Food arrived on time but Kang kong vegetable doesn’t look fresh and sour smell when we opened it up. Please do not mislead by those good rating. Do triple check foods before consuming.

Price point, it was quite reasonable. The portions given were quite generous. The hotplate tofu with egg was not too bad, while the egg omelette with onions was slightly on the oiler side, but they were generous to give quite a bit of onions. The sweet potato leaves with sambal was on point with the spice, and the vegetables in special broth were delicious without being salty, but the texture could be a bit less watery. Overall would go back again

Weekend dates are for feasting! Spoilt for choice at Yishun Park Hawker Center once again (seems to be the theme whenever we are here LOL) and settled upon JIAO CAI Hotplate BBQ @jiaocaiseafood for dinner! If you love stingray wings, their ??? ????? ?????? ???????? ($12/15/18) will absolutely spice up your life! The chunky slab of stingray was succulent & well-barbequed with a tinge of smokiness, and the generous slather of sambal atop was an absolute knockout with a fiery punch! ⁣ ⁣ Their ????? & ???? ???? was decent as well! The sauce was well-balanced with the sweetness from sugar plus the tangy ketchup and sharp rice vinegar. We also love that the fried pork chunks were meaty and coated with a thin batter! ⁣ .⁣ ? One of my favorite stall for sambal kangkong. The kangkong is crunchy, and the sambal is fragrant and spicy enough for the kick. Stingray is fresh and tender. The price is friendly to the wallet, and using the Tuck Shop app gives a further 10% off.

Yang Zhou fried rice that I had were typically really salty and oily so didn't want to go for it but their regular lunch sets are not available on weekends so I decided to take a risk and wow. Just wow. It's not overly drenched in oil, rice is in nice solid shapes yet not dry to the point you choke on them and it's not overly salty! Easily beats most restaurants. For such quality and only $5. Now I know why it's a Michelin 1 star. For such a simple dish and they did it so right, you know you can trust whatever else that's on the menu.
