The second branch of the favourite bakery in Novena, this tiny outfit will see you queuing down the street but it is worth it! They are closed most of the week, so stop by as the weekend approaches! A smaller selection is available here but the signature shokupan and anko butter can be found here! Grab a pudding from the chiller and also a chocolate bun while they have them. Keep coming back as they have special treats and seasonal items

Japanese style bakery. Recommend the bread loaf and sasame bun. It’s a bit chewy and taste fresh and clean. The red bean was good too as it’s not too sweet. Others are ok.

Tried the Kids Red Bean Butter, Truffle Salt Butter Bread, Yuzu Chestnut and Pudding. Red Bean and Truffle had nice soft bun. Truffle was amazing with that nice oil fragrance oozing out of mouth! Yuzu Chestnut and pudding completed that I-am-in-Japan feeling. Very nice and pleasant Japanese bakery! The lady (Japanese) was very polite. High recommended!

It looked a regular bakery from the outside. My friend went in bought 2 different red bean and surprisingly, they were really good. The bread dough was soft and tasty with a hint of salt in there. The one with the butter inside the bread reminded the of the Hong Kong polo bun. Yummy!

I had the tonkatsu bun and the butter redbean bun. I had them as takeaways (ate within an hour). The tonkatsu bun was lousy. The pork was hard, so hard that I could not take a bite without pulling the whole piece of pork out. I tried to grip it with the bun and ended up crushing the bun. The bun was also very normal. The butter redbean bun was so so. It was like eating a butter bun (, think gardenia butter bun) and an Anpan bun at the same time. To be fair, the redbean paste was not bad but it just didn't come together as an item for me. I don't understand the hype with this place. Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff or cannot takeaway.

A little nondescript bakery that is so easy to miss. In some ways, I’m selfishly delighted that the world hasn’t descended on this gem! In my personal opinion, they have the best red bean butter buns I have ever had! You can tell they make the red beans themselves because it isn’t all evenly and finely grinned. Instead, you can taste texture and actual red beans. The salted butter goes perfectly with the combination. You will find it hard to just have one and stop there. The milk cream bun is also excellent. In fact, I plan to try everything they produce there. Just remember they only open from Thursday’s to Sundays. Also they don’t add preservatives so u need to eat them fast.

Had the Truffle Salt Butter bun which cost $3.80. It was soft, oily but there was more air than bread. The bread was also slightly chilled. Perhaps this was because I dropped by on a weekday afternoon. Would not repurchase again

One of the best bakeries in the vicinity. The sliced bread toast was superb. Get the thicker slices if you want to toast them up. The pork katsu sandwich was simply delicious. The kids red bean bun with butter was superb as well. The price though can be a little steep. Will definitely be back but how regular I’m not sure.
