Picked Kappou as the venue for my Valentine’s Day date and have absolutely no regret about my decision. It was a 10-course circus executed and delivered to your palate with the bubbly enthusiasm of Chef Aeron and her humble team. Her flair for cracking risquΓ© jokes with a deadpan innocence is not to be underestimated. Highlights of the dining experience include selecting your own sake cup, followed by tasting all seven kinds of sake that they offered; hearing tuna skin crackling as it was being seared and seeing the fat drip luxuriously into a collection bowl at the bottom; and picking your soundtrack as you savour the final few courses of your meal: want to listen to Madonna’s Like A Virgin as you ravage the grilled mochi and ice cream dessert? Sure, live out your fantasy. As for the food itself, we were pampered right away with uni-topped baby squid as the first course. A three-kinds sashimi plate was paired with a electrifying pickled wasabi that tingled me right to the tips of my toes. The open-faced grilled unagi brioche sandwich was unique; I have never had unagi with truffle or gouda cheese before, and while the dish didn’t blow my mind out of the restaurant, it’s a taste profile I have bookmarked for future reference. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, Chef Aeron wrote us customised cards. I can’t go on enough about how hospitality is equally important to food in a dining experience, and the team at Kappou really nailed it on this part. Overall, Kappou impressed me with an unforgettable 3 hours of food and fun, and undoubtedly, I had impressed my date as well. Thank you Kappou for a wonderful 14 Feb 2020.

Aeron chooses the freshest ingredients and cooks them to perfection. The natural sweetness comes through and she explains the ingredients and the preparation method as she serves it to you. Dish to dish is fast and each prepared in front of you. Reservations are essential as it is a 10 seater bar restaurant with exceptional service and cool jazz music. They have a new L3 drinks bar where you can order bar food prepared here and delivered up. Great Omasake dining experience which pleases the 5 senses. Culinary Innovation!

Lovely dining experience by chef Aeron. Every dish was prepared with love... fresh ingredients and definitely oishiiiiii. ??? Started off with Japanese whisky - warm and fragrant whisky in the mouth and down the throat preparing your palette for the dishes. Chef was attentive and explained each dish. The few dishes that stood out were the torched beef, and kaisendon. Overall, great evening well spent and totally worth the price tag.

Great experience at kappou! A cozy place to enjoy a scrumptious omakase. The food served were well thought of but it could be further refined. The chef had really creative ideas by playing with the hot and cold component of the dish. The staff were really friendly and attentive as well.

One of my favourite Omakase places to visit, always an enjoyable experience especially when their menu varies daily, it never gets boring dining here. But prices are on the high side and it’s also compulsory for every customer to purchase an alcoholic beverage. There’s also quite a long waiting time between each dish and the entire meal might take up to 4 hours. But putting those aside, if you are just looking for an authentic Omakase experience to satisfy your palette, then this is the place for you.

Awesome food by chef Aeron. She really takes you on a journey to her creativity and she serves one of the best omakase in Singapore. Totally enjoyed the meal physically and visually. Highly recommended and really one of the bright shining chefs to look out for.
