came here for Kyuu Omakase (All Upgrade Course). the service was ok. setting wise, the angle of spotlight may need to be adjusted such that it’s not pointing directly to the seat (someone’s head). the spacing was a bit tight. my seat has been softly knocked by service crews 3-4 times. plating was average. taste of food was ok in general. salmon roe rice was entertaining. too much carb for my liking. overall, missing wow factor for the price.

Had quite high expectations I guess. Service was normal. Though we got a counter seat, there was no interaction with the chef, with a glass in front of us. We upgraded our course initially. But sea urchin wasn't really nice, so we decided not to upgrade for subsequent dishes (beef and last course). Server did not check with chef, but told us that the beef has already been prepared. Upon request by us, she went to check with chef and allowed us not to proceed with upgrade. King crab a bit overcooked. They had a very interesting concept of overflowing fish roe with rice. The server will stop only when u asked him to stop. Overall, food is really normal.

Filling and decent but I wouldn't visit again as there are many more outstanding Omakase in Singapore. Presentation is good, staff were neither warm nor friendly but just doing their jobs. Half the time we could hardly hear nor understand the serving introduction as they sped through like a speeding train and we occasionally had to ask them to repeat. Quality of food is mediocre, some were good and some were not. Starter of tomatoes, kelp, eggplant was neither interesting nor delicious, just basic and good for a picture. We upgraded our sashimi, platter was beautifully presented and we were informed everything could be eaten, even the decorative flowers in the plating. Quality of the sashimi is decent. Lotus root and mochi dish was enjoyable especially the mochi which I seldom eat to begin with. Kaki fry had a light and fluffy batter with a side of egg yolk dip but the oyster itself wasn't very fresh with a strong after taste. Chawanmushi was nice. The grilled prawn was overcooked and boring. I actually prefered the zucchini under it than the prawn. Grilled Hokkaido pumpkin was dense and chalky. Didn't like it's texture as it was hard to eat something so dry. It needed way more butter to help it go down. Gindara and ohmi beef were ok. The balsamic dressing served with the beef tasted odd and more like some soy sauce reduction, ate without it. We were full by 2.5hours later, food was slow towards the end when they were packed. Only went with the smallest bowl of rice for the overflowing ikura. The ikura itself was fresh and nice but I hated the random egg sac skin and stringy bits that weren't properly cleaned off.

Came back again, the experience was less impressive this time. A number of misses for me - chawanmushi with cheese and potato (confusing combination), pork and asparagus (slightly dry pork belly) and the appetiser plate (especially the millet roe, which bit like an eraser). The highlights were still the ikura bowl, beef and sashimi, but imo you don't need to pay such a high price for these.

i got the normal omakase course ($128) and i really enjoyed it! i loved the sashimi platter, appetizer and the chawanmushi! i must say i thought the onion dish was... odd. it was literally just a saucy onion. my friend who's an onion lover enjoyed it though! the ikura bowl was a really nice end to the meal ♡ they also had yuzu ice cream for dessert, and my friend's yuzu ice cream came with a sparkler since it was her birthday ? loved that for her! i was stuffed by the end of the course! staff were so incredibly friendly and explained each dish to us really patiently. i'd definitey recommend this place as it's not too expensive for a dinner omakase, and i thought it was worth the $$$.

Had 179 dollars omakase meal. It was a very pleasant experience. The wagyu beef and sashimi were particularly good. Overall, it was really worth the money

Seldom give any rating or comment to any restaurant as disappointing, but Kyuu surprised me completely. A friend and I chose to go for an upgrade; we paid for a fine dining price, but... Our experience is nothing related to that. Ingredients selection and service were bad.. Yea, bad.. I have to drink tea to rinse my mouth a few times after tasting.Sashimi platter was decent and that's all. Worst of all, I had diarrhea 2hrs after my meal. Can't believe it.

Had the New Years Eve Omakase menu, the place is small but intimate, we sat at the back where the worker was washing plates and dropped her plates a few times, Service wise was good and the lady with shoulder length hair did check in on us a few times which is nice. As for food wise, just another omakase for me. nothing that wows me.
