Low quality service for a "branded" store. Unsympathetic response for defective toy. Bought this stuffed toy as a gift for my newborn nephew who will be returning to US so he has something to remember me by. I checked at cashier before she put it away, when the parents opened the gift they found the head had been Chopped off. Not even sure why there is Styrofoam on the box. The new parents didn't have the time to open the gift immediately after I gave it to them. After getting it back from them, I now realise the box was not even big enough to comfortably fit the toy so it must have been stuffed in after I inspected it. They didn't tell me that the box is snug for the toy. Since it is a gift, I couldn't give it so immediately to his parents after buying it from the store so didn't realise the toy was defective. The store refused to do any exchange or refund and did not bother calling to explain or investigate and send back to manufacturer after the email attached. They have not responded to my response sent the same day to the attached email. This is 2 days ago. They only have a 10 day returns policy. They didn't state that when purchasing the gift. I appreciate it has been 17 days since I responded to them, but honestly for a gift, do you expect a 10 day turnaround? In this day where ecommerce is more convenient and cheaper, I would not go to this store anymore. Would you, with this service?
