Kids Clinic @ Bishan by SMG - 116 Bishan Street 12

Our 3 kids has been seeing Dr Oh for 7 over years now. Dr Oh is experienced and genuinely loves the kids. She doesn't over prescribe tests or medicines and our kids always recover fast after follow her advises. I would recommend Dr Oh to all my friends and families!

Dr Oh is my niece’s preferred PD :) (they come all the way from Batam! ) Not ours as we always felt that one of her front desk staffs were always “not happy with something (everything)”? Today, we tried our luck again and to our surprise, it was a short wait! Doctor Oh attended my child :) she was patient and detailed with her diagnosis, she also took the time to explain the cause of the Illness and the follow up.. normally that would have been enough for a 5 star review however as usual, one of the front desk staff pull down the rating with her “curt” attitude! Her “sorry but not sorry” customer service vibe was obvious throughout our visit (even though the clinic wasn’t very busy ), she did her task with the medicine dispensing and explanation stone cold and borderline sarcastic ?:) both my wife and myself were happy to rotate ourself and wait outside since only 1 parent were allowed during consultation or payment! It is what it is and after checking the reviews, It seems to be a “chronic” issue for this clinic hence this further fortified my believe that while a good product sells by itself, good customer service is the dealbreaker! In this case, Dr Oh is the good product! 5 stars for her! ???? 2 stars for the customer service, cos it makes a normally chirpy person like my wife and I feel ??, but she did her task , just zero passion! Hopefully this will be taken positively and on our next visit ( be it for my child or my niece ) we will be greeted with smile! ?? A bit of smile & empathy goes a long way to assure all the worried parents that pops by, it is a PD clinic after all ?

Slow processing today at kids clinic bishan .17 January 2022 . Suppose to be three staff usually become two staff . Waited for long time . Thank god those two staff was patience and doing their best to accommodate us . One of the staff sophia didn't come resulting in so long waiting queue . Always see this particular staff on mc and on leave I suppose? Is she the boss relative ?

Dr Oh is a really caring doctor. My son was breathless and wheezing very badly. Unlike other doctors, she immediately cancelled the bill and wrote me a referral letter so that I can quickly rush him to hospital. This is the first time I've experienced a Dr's concerns beyond the medical bill and am really touched by her action. My son is much better thanks to the prompt treatment he was able to receive as a result of Dr Oh's quick diagnosis, advice and action. Thank you Dr Oh for saving his life!

Bad experience with the doctor, no patience and rude. Not allow me to ask more or listen what i trying to said. Keep saying what she wanted. She ask whether I wanted to let my son do ART, I reply ok. What she reply to me? This is what she reply (I know you “ pai sei”(she said in Hokkien), I do for you.) Have I tell you I pai sei? If yes, I will let you do the test $20? I want to know what kind of medicine she will give to my son. She ask me go outside and ask and told me if she tell me what kind of medicine it will be like “对牛弹琴” what kind of this doctor will come out this type of words, not professional at all. Wasted my time to wait so long and will never come.

I am very surprised at how unprofessional Dr Oh Meng Choo is as a PD. Even though her consultation went alright, she actually openly spoke and hinted to us parents about how the PD we saw previously didn’t diagnose and treat our child’s condition properly, and added on her personal opinion/experience with the other PD. This is unacceptable and very unprofessional. Further, her staff are also very rude and slow, unwilling to answer queries properly. Which made the experience even worse. Unfortunately this is not the kind clinic we would want to come back to.

Have to give one star else cannot post. Careful of this doctor oh meng choo. Parents who are divorced stay away from this clinic. Because she will not allow changing of children records in their system even if you are the biological mother of the child. This doctor only listens to instructions from the care and control parent. If you argue with her, she will call police on you and make false claim together with her clinic staff obviously on her side. Heard that you can buy MC for children here too. This doctor also has no qualms about challenging other doctor's medical opinion. Never seen such an arrogant false pretence doctor in my life before.

My girl has been seeing Dr Oh since she was 14 months old. Dr Oh is experienced and swift to make correct diagnosis . My girl had an infection from mosquito bite then and she immediately asked us to check into hospital when she saw the bite . Luckily I went to her because the previous doctor did not assess the situation correctly and it dragged on for five days before I found Dr Oh. By then my girl had to be hospitalized to treat the infection and thank goodness Dr Oh is very experienced and immediately told us to go hospital . Other reviewers mentioned she will highlight if other doctors make wrong diagnosis and this is unprofessional . I didn’t experience this before . However, I as a mother don’t think this is unprofessional. I will want to be warned if other docs are not competent enough to make right diagnosis . Dr Oh is the only doc my girl warms up to since young and my girl used to be a whiny loud baby who will struggle a lot and cried loudly during consultation . Other docs will give an impatient look coz my girl is really very “aggressive” when struggling . I always felt embarrassed and apologetic but Dr Oh is the first doc to tell me I shouldn’t apologize and she is just so so patient with difficult kids . My girl is now 7 and throughout the years we have always had great experiences with the clinic . Even the staff are polite unlike what others say. Honestly I think how parents talk to and treat the staff also matters right. I don’t see how this clinic and Dr Oh can receive low ratings. Even though my girl is now 7 and we can see a normal GP I still travel all the way to bishan to consult Dr Oh when my girl is sick.
