Does not live up to its name. Noodle had soaked up some moisture, while the rest of the moisture probably evaporated. The yellow noodle had too much of that yellow noodle taste that it overwhelmed any other taste there was. I checked with a friend who live nearby and was told that it was unimpressive as well. We concur. It may be due to the way they prepared it as they have ready cooked bucket of it they put onto the wok to reheat, it was a very big cooked portion. We didn't wait long for our food so even though I appreciated the short waiting time, the food was not enjoyable, will not visit again soon. $10

It way pass it time I guess... Hokkein mee really no good n the oyster egg (orh luak) is only eatable n no point to go there.. aloes Vera honey lemon really just like "just water", no taste of aloe Vera or honey or lemon... Since the 主打 hokkein mee so no good at all then no point to go back to try their Zi char... Just a place, totally avoidable...

We ordered quite a few things. The Hokkian mee was ok, nothing special but it was competent. The best tasting dish for me was probably the Oyster Omelette hot plate and Sambal Gang Gong. I strongly advised ordering against the Sambal Stingray. I thought it was really dry and complete waste of money.

Boss uncle still frying his hokkein mee wearing business shirt after so many years... Generous portion even at the lowest price $5. 3 medium size prawns and crispy pork lard. ? the chilli is a bit tangy type, some might prefer the belachan type

Came here many years ago. Was not impressed back then. Their Hokkien Mee was a disappointment. Came back and try again since I’m nearby and craving for Hokkien Mee, this time I would say it taste better, though not impressive, it is a decent plate of Hokkien Mee, their noodles are dryer compare to others which I personally like it very much, I particular highlight is their chili which is spicy ?. I also order the oyster omelette, the oyster are huge and fresh which really comes as a surprise, the eggs on the hot plate also have the wok hey taste. Though not to their glory days, but it’s a decent place to enjoy a plate of Hokkien Mee.

Food is average, hokkien mee’s portion is a little small for the price. Not crowded and you get to eat within 10 minutes of sitting down. The other vegetable dishes and zichar are fine too. A little pricey.

Besides the eponymous fried Hokkien prawn noodle, you should sample its fried omelette oysters in various cooking styles.. hotplate, plain, spicy etc. The boss is usually the man working his magic around the fiery wok, in his iconic long sleeve shirt, leather shoes and that Rolex watch. National Museum should ask for a set of his attire as part of our national memory and history. A hawker hero and national living treasure.

Food is average, not the best, not the worst , but service is poor. You got to look for someone to make the order. Even worst, the person who takes your order doesn't know english at all, she gets irritated that we don't know Chinese. But the boss is nice, humble and still listens to customers. Respect to him. Will definitely head back if I'm at this area. But really hope they do hire someone who can at least understand simple English.
