β β β β β I came with my family and after ordering, waited for 35mins before the first dish arrived. Place was empty so not because they were busy. Hokkien mee wasn't that great, no wok hey. We ordered one set of lobsters to try, and it wasn't fresh at all. The waitress said that smaller lobsters tend to not taste as fresh(?) and we should have ordered a bigger one. I've never heard such an incredible claim before. Based on this logic, prawns and crayfish should taste downright rotten. Or maybe they are in this restaurant since that's what she said? Who knows.

β β β β β Still one of the best prepared Hokkein mee in Joo Chiat area! With the crispy pork lard on the side and plenty of chilli sauce to accompany. Other Zi char dishes to try include the well made oyster omelette and pork chops. Tasty meal to feed the hungry boys on the weekend. Worth a visit !

β β β β β On Sat, I urgently need to order buffet for Mon. However, as it was the Vesak Day long weekend and most catering sales offices were either closed or refused order. Luckily, I found Kimβs Place Seafood which also does buffet catering. It was a breeze dealing with them and my order was confirmed quickly. Delivery was on time. On top of that, all our guests said the food tasted delicious particularly the Fried Bee Hoon, steam tofu with ham, prawn with dried chilli, salt and pepper fish. I like that the buffet menu included items that differs from standard menu.

β β β β β Food is good. But none of the staff had the decency to inform us the wait was more than 45 minutes before ordering. I ended up waiting close to an hour for just 2 dishes for a takeaway, and it was not even a full house.

β β β β β It's been a while since we last patronised this place. The quality has remained. It's good, delicious. Celebrated a birthday there. The Nonya steam fish is excellent.

Ordered the XO Hokkien Mee but tasted too salty.
Can never compare to the founder whichnis now still frying hokkien mee in Eunos branch.

β β β β β A good family dining place if you love tze char (Hokkien description of home-cooked Chinese food, meant for sharing).
The dishes are priced reasonably and thereβs no GST.
My favorite dish will have to the be the Fried Sotong with Salted Egg and X.O Sauce Asparagus w Scallops.

β β β β β Good local cze char food. The prawn paste fried chicken is crispy on outside and juicy inside! Braised bee hoon in crab comes with super flavourful. Owner and wait staff team are friendly and helpful.
