KL Chan Enterprises - BLK 59 New Upper Changi Rd

This store sells literally everything! Uncle and Aunty has opened the store for more than 30 years, and they sell everything from Office Supplies, Art & Craft, hardware, changing of watch batteries, key duplication and car remote control/ gate access card duplication! Uncle was one of the first few locksmiths in Singapore, and is very accurate with his key duplication business! Very known in the neighbourhood for this! The shop sells alot of things, so you just have to be very clear with what you want/need and tell the shop owners so that they can direct you, or be patient to find the gems that you need!

I newly changed my gate and visited several locksmiths for key duplication but all were unsuccessful. When I visited this store to do the same, the man informed that the price was $10 PER KEY and I was surprised as all the prior shops only charged me $5 per key. Despite the absurd double market price, I proceeded only bc he guaranteed moneyback if the key duplicates do not fit. Fyi, he cited the high price as alleged “professionalism”. This will soon prove otherwise as I returned to the store the next day to inform that the key duplicates did not work. Much to my greater surprise, he refused to give my full moneyback which he had previously guaranteed! At first, he wanted to only return $7 for the rest being his service fee or whatsoever. After back and forth arguing, he agreed to return me $8. $2 doesn’t make the store rich, and $8 doesn’t make me poor. Most importantly the man was dishonest and this is very disgusting behaviour for a seller. How do you do business like this! The rating below is of the same service fee style dishonesty which means he has probably done this to many others. Do not engage with this store lest u want your money to encourage their lowly lies!

The owner is so skilled and friendly. Went so many good review shop but all turned me away saying cannot be done. This man say 'can' in one look and got my key ready in 15 minutes. Excellent. Highly recommended. ???️

Duplication of Bicycle Lock "Unique Keys". " This key is unique and in the event I lost my key, it will be quite troublesome as the chain is quite rigid and I have* only 2 of the Original version. Thus, I went to quite several Key smith shops to ask for the duplicate of bicycle lock keys, but in vain. After 3 days of searching in the internet, I sourced out 2 shops, this shop that is near my house and the other shop is in Geylang. I selected this shop as I live around Bedok. The owner tried a few times as this type of keys is not the normal key; he took* awhile for the 1st key. He tried multiple times for the 1st key and got it done. I left my lock with him so he can test out the other 2 keys. Shortly after 3 hours, he called for me to collect the keys. I am amazed by his perseverance and skill. I did a total of 3 Keys.

My student was browsing through the stationery (they have a stationery side). One of the markers was already opened from the packaging by someone else and the shop owner accused him of opening it. And then he forced him to pay for it even though my student said he didnt do it. My student was alone at that time and kept this incident to himself for some time. He said he was shouted at etc. Please becareful of this shop. The owner is not a nice man from his demeanor.

Brought my girl’s watch to the shop for battery replacement. He opened up the watch and used some tweezer to remove the inner components and the battery. He then took some random “new” battery that he had stored in a box, and put it in our watch. Those batteries werent even in any packaging and clearly couldnt have been new. When he realised the watch wasnt working after he put in the replacement battery, he said the watch was already damaged. Our watch was clearly in working condition when we walked in to his shop. Not only he had spoiled our watch, the matter was made worse when he even demanded us to pay service fee for not being able to proceed with the intended battery replacement. What a bad bad service.

Lousy experience. Need to make 7keys. Boss says he experienced for 40 over yrs one time can work, charge me $5 per key. Cannot negotiate. Trusting his experience and good review I went ahead. But went back with they keys can cannot work. Waste my time to go back shop and remake still bragging abt his experience.

KL Chan is an arrogant key smith that is all talk and now show. He charges double the price of regular keysmiths and say that it will 100% work, otherwise a refund will be guaranteed + claim to be the best in Singapore, but his key does not even work. Went back there for a refund, and he said that he wanted to try again as the first key was done with his assistant watching. Second try, the key still fails to work. Upon going back, he still does not want to refund despite my telling him that the key was borrowed on a timed leash. If you want a working key, steer clear of this man
