Koothurar Nasi Briyani - 17 Beach Rd

This is one of the best Nasi Briyani I ever taste d. It has a very authentic taste. I enjoyed the Briyani after a long time. The moment I reached the car park near this block, the aroma of Briyani welcomed me from far. As early as around 10.30am, I could see the queue have started farming up to buy. If you want to taste the food don't go later than 2pm. I hope they can maintain the standard.

Standard Mutton Briyani cost S$7 bucks. Slightly more ex than normal meal but worth your money! Briyani rice is warm and fluffy delicious. He gave a mutton bone with decent amount of tender soft mutton meat surrounding the bone. Inside the bone i manage to suck some bone marrow out, awesomely delicious! If you gonna buy alot, i recommend u drop a call early before going down to reserve, so that you can avoid queuing as the queue is extremely long.

The queue don't lie...15 ahead of me and it took almost 40 minutes to reach the counter to place my takeaway order of one chicken and one mutton briyani. Very satisfied with the flavorful fluffy rice, pleasant aroma, soft and tender meat. My preferred choice is mutton.....Super shiok!

the rice is v lightn fragrant. the beef is tender. chicken...can pass. the rice portion is huge. the curry on the rice is everything. queued for 30min, behind people who were all waiting for uncle open shop!

Queued for over an hour to buy 3 packets of Chicken Briyani and 1 packet of Mutton Briyani. Queue was long and slow because a lot of people ordered 4 to 10 packets and some "VIP" were allowed to cut queue and placed their order directly with the boss. The rice was huge in portion and was one of the better Briyani rice I have tasted. However, the chicken was dry. The mutton was better and more juicy. Overall, the briyani was good but not worth the 1+ hour queue.

I'm lured by the smell when running errands in this area... Haven't ate briyani for years, decided to try. Join the queue and got the mutton briyani. Very delicious although no signboard of prices. I can see the queue and people pack out mostly as there wasn't much seating areas. Follow what people ordered infront lo.. I saw somebody order about 80 to 100 packets omg ...that's alot Paid 8sgd for it. Is yummy, mutton very tender and nice. Asked for lesser rice though...??

This place is really known for its good briyani and long queues, I came on a Sunday lunch and was surprised there was only 1 guy in front of me. Was told they open only like 2-3 hours a day and everything would be sold out. Since many have commented the mutton was good so I decided to give it a try, but then was told mutton was sold out! Maybe that was the reason why there was no queue. I tried the chicken instead and the guy also tried to recommend me the fried fish patty. They really gave the briyani like a mountain. I had to ask them to half the portion 4 times to get to a decent amount which I think I could finish. I kinda regretted a little because the rice was so good! Could have kept a little more and would be able to finish it. Chicken was a little try but overall it was well cooked and flavoured. I should really recommend the fish patty because it was really delicious. The fish meat was very well flavored with spices and then coated and fried, tasted really nice when it was hot. $2 for a piece of that is really worth it. Maybe next time will try again, and be earlier if I really wanted to try the mutton.

This is one of the best Nasi Briyani in town. Went there around 11.30am to avoid the crowd. Ordered mutton and add on Masala Chicken. The rice is fragrance and you could eat it without any curry. It is rich but not oily. Taste a but buttery and other spices. The mutton is mouth watering. No word could describe the flavoured. Meat is so soft and the best part, not gamy at all! Masala chicken is good but I prefer mutton. $12 for the serving is definitely good bargain!
