Kopifellas Beauty World Centre - 144 Upper Bukit Timah Rd

I’ve been to kopifellas four times and not once was it a smooth experience. When I drove all the way down to take away food during circuit breaker, they ran out of kaya toast set so i left empty handed. Second time i went, I took away the earl grey and matcha toast which tasted seriously bad. Third time I went on a Sunday and waited 20mins for a kopi o siu dai, to which my friend texted me to ask if they were still finding the beans from Ethiopia. I went again today and they once again “ran out of kaya toast set” at 12pm noon time. Maybe if they gave a reason to why kaya toast set is not available I can understand better? All things fair, they do serve good coffee so I do go back... but if they pull themselves together a bit better, maybe the experience will be less frustrating.

Coffee is quite good. Half boiled eggs are fresh and on point. Toast is a waste of time.

Came on a weekday lunch time, queue time was short. Ordered a large cup of cold Kopi-C ($2.30), it’s really thick but a tad on the acidic side. Might taste better as a normal cup of Kopi. Like how smooth is it! Will come back and try other drinks!

SUMMARY Go for the tea as the coffee is very acidic (poor quality and your teeth will not be thankful). If they only served the tea the rating would be 4 of 5. SERVICE Service is good however I have to note that you cannot pay with visa or MasterCard - only NETS and cash. There was no queue and the delivery was quick (about 2 min). DRINKS We ordered the black coffee cold brew (25% sugar) and the green tea lychee (25% sugar). Our experience was night and day. While the tea drink was as good as they get, the coffee drink was just to throw out. And we normally prefer coffee to tea. I recommend to the shop to either stop coffee serving or get better beans. This is against human rights ! AMBIENCE The ambience is good at the top of the iconic Beauty Works mall. The shop faces a nice skyline and plants - definitely destressing. Do note that there is no AC as it is on the roof however it is covered and there is a fan doing a fine job.

Kopifellas could be found at the very corner of the hawker center. We’ve ordered the toast set that goes for $4.50, and I gotta say I am fairly disappointed with it. Coffee was served in a larger than normal sized mug, flavors were pretty tense too. Toast was served lukewarm and weren’t crisp to start with, it could be due to the fact that they spread the refrigerated kaya jam after toasting the bread.

I found their coffee bold and tangy. Just nice for my taste bud. The toast is reasonably priced, lightly crunchy and worth the money. The laksa at their branch shop is equally good.

Stacked with its noodle stall, it helps to take orders for them as well as for the drinks. First tried the kopi C kosong, but was given a Kopi C which I reluctantly gulped down because it tasted pretty decent. Added another teh C kosong for my fiancée later, albeit a huge range of other selection to see if their primary offerings were good, and wasn’t disappointed. Affordable prices and huge selection, with options to customise your drinks. Will definitely return to try their other offerings in future!
