β β β β β We went for a lunch set menu for 2 on a weekday. Some breadsticks were served but it didnβt taste freshly made. Food and dessert were pretty good. Love the trout fish and mashed pumpkin best! Cauliflower on the Meat of the Day was delicious as well!

β β β β β La Scala Ristorante has such a great ambience! The design of the restaurant helps to make it feel like youβre dining outdoors but yet youβre able to enjoy it in the cool breeze of the aircon ?
The staff are helpful and chatty which helps brighten the mood once you enter the ristorante.
Ordered two of their tomato based pastas.

β β β β β Came here on a monday night - surprisingly quiet. Service was good and attentive.
The burrata portion was a bit small as it was only half a burrata. Tomatoes served with it were a perfect balance of tart and sweet.
For mains we had the beer stewed beef - soft and tender with good mashed / whipped potatoes. The aged pork pasta was slightly disappointing as it was too salty - couldnβt finish the dish as it got too salty within the first four bites. Margherita pizza was decent - only flaw was that the dough is too thin and the centre of the pizza couldnβt hold.
Tiramisu was great, i enjoyed the lightness of the cream and it pairs nicely with tea.
Overall the food was okay. Would come back again for the ambience and to try other things on the menu.

β β β β β I have the Branzino Al Vapore, which is the steamed sea brass seat on top of the potato salad. Very delicate, although I would love to have more pesto sauce drops rather than 2 tidy drop at the side. Reason is the fish meat is dry.
Overall good ambience with live music from the adjacent restaurant.
Itβs sad that the upstairs seating is not open, else it would be beautiful.
Desert menu is limited. Would love to see more desserts selection.
The wait staffs are attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.

β β β β β Tried this during the Restaurant Week. The bruschetta was seasoned well and quite tasty, albeit the tough bread texture. Cream beef fussili was creamy though taste was quite on a 1 note level. Felt heavy after the dinner. Lemon and yoghurt dessert was mild tasting and refreshing after a heavy meal, but it should be served in a bowl instead.

β β β β β Delicious and worth coming again especially when the prices for the set lunches are reasonable. $21++ for 2 course and $26++ for 3 course lunch
The trout was excellent, the skin crispy and the meat tender. Love the panna cotta, not too sweet and the taste buds were titillated by the tartness of the berries.

β β β β β Located at Capitol, the place is quite small but serves good pasta. The waiting time after we ordered is very long, more than 30 mins for a Sunday lunch even though there were not much crowds. The pasta was good, very filling but we felt too much after eating half of the portion.
