Quite a pushy sales person. I was attempting a 7 day water fast, and would continue to 14 day or even 21 days if I felt fine. as all the discomfort occurs within the first 5 days. I read that you might need some essential minerals (sodium, potassium, zinc) and vitamins to help tide through the first week of adjustment as you're just consuming water/black coffee. The sales lady asked me what I needed and I explained, she then proceeded to recommend me multivites, some antioxidant stuff, while bring really knowledgeable "oh you'll be fasting so you'll be really weak do you need all these go strengthen your body etc". This just shows she has no knowledge on extended water fast. I had some knowledge but not the best, she recommended this multivites which has loads of stuff inside. I proceeded go buy but she never stopped recommend stuff to go along with my water fast. I mean cmon, you're not supposed to take weird extracts or health stuff while on a water fast as they could contain carbs or proteins and kick you out of ketosis thereby resetting the cycle. I was just quite annoyed. When I went home and researched extensively on the multivites I bought, I realized that they contained branched chain amino acids (L-something) and these should not be taken when on a water fast as they could kick you out of ketosis and raise insulin. The recommended serving was 2 per day, and luckily I took only 1 to see how my body reacts and who knew, I felt hungry like immediately after due to the insulin response. Zzzzz. I just wasted 40 bucks on multivites that I can't take during this water fast, and not only that, but discounted my resolve the last 36 hours of water fast and delayed my entering full ketosis and extending the duration of my fast to get the same benefits if I didn't take those branched chained amino acids, because the sales person wasn't knowledgeable but was only talking baseless stuff just to justify the need and hence selling me stuff I might not need or would definitely hamper my final goal. It's not nice to sell someone something without being knowledgeable on the subject, but acting like you know alot really sucks. Like I understand you have a commission model but if you screw with someone's goal/objectives then you say 'oh I didn't know', then don't say you know or even know anything about said topic (i.e. extended water fast and nutrients/vitamind/supplements?). Seriously triggered.
