Their pork ribs prawn noodle is indeed best seller. Expect a queue of customers during lunch and dinner time. Affordable and guaranteed that the food they will serve is clean and recently cooked. Tasty food!

Expected long queue on weekends for many food stalls here at Tampines round market & Food Centre. Decided to eat the prawn noodle and the queue had taken us 20 minutes to be served. The ‘Mee pok’ was too thin and not springy, the broth with fried shallots were good though, the prawns were not deveined and the chillli sauce was not flavourful enough. Overall, it was average!

I like their pig viscera noodles. They soak the thinly sliced pork parts in hot soup to cook them so that they keep the viscera tender n not overcooked. Soup is tasty n portion is generous for $3.50 n the viscera comes with prawn.

The flavour from both prawn and pork in the soup is quite balance, not overpower by msg if we are to compare to the one in Beach Road or Katong. Ordered the pig's viscera noodle ($4.50), the serving is quite generous, noodle has this chewy and springy texture, taste a bit like Japanese ramen.

This is the prawn noodle to go for if you are in Tampines round market! Their draw is the flavourful soup and if you can take chilli, go for their dried version - enhancing the taste without being too spicy. Shown here is the Pork Ribs + Prawn Noodle. It is good but the ingredients is leaner. Go for the normal prawn noodle if you want to enjoy more generous servings (ingredients + noodles).

Few years back there was a poll on the most popular stall in Tampines Round market Lao Lee Pig’s Viscera Pork Ribs noodles came up top of the list. The soup is tasty & sweet full of pork flavours. Ingredients not overcooked & fresh. Portion is quite generous too. Do expect a long queue during weekends & PH.

Fresh pork, succulent prawn, light yet flavourful pork and prawn broth makes a delicious bowl of soupy noodle. Queue is pretty long even during weekend lunch but the stall serve pretty fast thus the waiting time is quite ok. Note that if you are looking for a stronger prawn based broth then this may not be the stall for you.

I ordered the meat ball mee gia dry version, not prawn noodle soup. Hence, my review is solely based on the meat ball mee gia dry. I feel that while the soup base is thick and rich with prawny fragrance, the meat ball is a tad soft. I would have like it to be crunchier. The mee Gia dry was quite a disappointment. The base sauce is not able to integrate into the mee Gia at all. I personally think that had it been the yellow noodles, it would have achieved the sauce integration factor. Not for this mee Gia though. I'm disappointed. I will either try the yellow noodle dry or prawn noodle soup next time. For now, a 3 is generous.
