★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wanted to get Soon Kueh (Turnip cake) but was left with one last Peng Kueh (glutinous rice cake wrapped in pink glutinous skin) so I decided to try it even though I normally don’t eat Peng Kueh. Skin was thicker than usual but the rice was oh so fragrant with mushroom and seasoned wonderfully really yummy on its own or traditionally with chili and black sauce. Hopefully will be able to try the Soon kueh and carrot cake soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful stall. Hard to find such a stall nowadays. It has been in business for 40 over years, and they sell many things here and are traditional Chinese breakfast items. The fried carrot cake is quite old days way, it can fried with sweet sauce or without, simply we name black or white fried carrot cakes. You must try the Gao, they are make with rice skin and stuff with different vegetable. I have to say this stall Gao is unique that the skin is thinker and sticky. Most people may not like the skin thick, but I do like it, it give a feel if another food 年糕 (Korean have a similar dish), it's filling too. The stall offer a slight pan fried and if u like can add eggs (it is somewhat unique to me). They are many more things, you can come for a week to have different items.
