Haven't had dry hokkien mee this good in quite a awhile. Just nice amount of wok hei and spicyness although the chilli is not the tasty kind. Portion size could be bigger but still worth it.

Heard a lot of mixed reviews for this stall selling fried Hokkien mee at Sims ave. Understand that the owner of this stall is the son of the famous fried hokkien mee stall at the basement of Golden mile food centre. I was there around 8pm and there wasn't any queue. A buzzer will be issued once you paid, buzzer rang after about 5-10mins. A plate of fried hokkien noodle starts from SGD$5 onwards, they also offer fried hokkien noodle with luxury ingredients like abalone and lobster. The plate of noodle with the standard ingredient of squids, prawns and pork belly which I omitted. Noodle soaked up the essence of the stock and most importantly, it wasn't too dry. Can taste slight hint of wok hei. Seafood tasted fresh as well but the prawns were kind of small. Overall, personally I think that it was actually not bad. Have tried both this and the stall at golden mile, I would actually picked this.

Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee. You might not know Liang Ji but if you are a fan of Hokkien Mee, you will undoubtedly come across the popular Hokkien mee stall located at the basement of golden mile food centre. Well, Liang Ji is the founder of the stall which is now run by his child and this stall located along Sims Ave is opened by the grandson of Liang Ji. Yep I sense a whole lot of pressure on his shoulders but I am just glad that there is now a third generation hawker continue to bring awesome hawker food to us.

nope. smelly prawns, noodles were barely cooked in the stock (if that was what it was). i donโ€™t mind paying $5 for most things. just not this. look around and youโ€™d see better versions.

I was told Liang Ji serves good Hokkien fried prawn noodles. Came here with high hopes but I think itโ€™s decent only. $5 seems expensive. Some of the noodles were a bit charred and the Chili is rather oily. However the fried pork lard is really good. I ate that on its own. Fat die me! ?

Ordered the $10 portion. Ingredients are rather generous. This version has more bee hoon and slightly more dry, which I do enjoy ! Chilli kicks a punch though a tad bit oily, could do with less of the chilli oil. Absolutely delish ! ?

Don't waste ur time n money on this stall. No customers before me, but after I ordered, the guy just took his own sweet time to do other things, chit chatting, after 5-10 min only start cooking. What an attitude.. Chili is not fresh. A bit weird taste like it has been left for long. Noodles is too salty n just dead salty. Too much salt n not flavorful. It's dry and no gravy at all. Very few prawn n sotong. 2 prawns n 3 small sotong pcs, n 2-3 pcs of pathetically small pork that full of fats (less than 10gm of meat in total) for entire plate. For those who don't eat lard, basically, this is just a waste of time n money. Go other places please. For people who eat lard, why come here just for the lard? Go other places please..

Very unassuming Hokkien mee, ordered the $5 plate ($5/10/15) Either you love or hate this plate of goodness Suitable for heavier palates individuals Noodles have very much soaked in the essence of the stock and has rich wok hey flavour Pork lard was well made and delicious Mee to bee Hoon ratio very balanced and moist level was just nice,may be different if take away. Chili very unique and packs a punch, very oily yet.
