★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the signature bibimbap, tofu sandwich, gelato, spinach pie and blueberry muffin. All were great. Ingredients were fresh and had clean taste. Felt the love in every single food they prepared. What a lovely cafe! Chloe and Gina were so friendly nice to talk to! Will be back for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lilac Oak was lovely, the staff were so friendly, ambience was so chill and the food and drinks were great. Tried the tofu sandwiches, would definitely have it again !! Although I wish I was able to try the other menu items but they were unavailable. 100% would pop in again if i was in the vicinity !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ended off #veganuary with vegan desserts at Lilac Oak Café @lilac.oak! Besides their delightful vegan bakes, Lilac Oak also serves Matcha Oat Latte made using @naokimatcha 's Barista Blend! The plant-based ?????? ??? ????? can be enjoyed hot or chilled, and you can choose to have it unsweetened or lightly sweetened. Using oat milk from Oatly as a substitute for milk intensified the earthy flavour of the matcha and also gave it a smooth creamy texture. The matcha doesn't taste astringent or bitter at all even for the unsweetened version, and we could enjoy the full matcha flavour. The slightly sweetened version tasted just right for bb, who has a bit of a sweet tooth. This is one cuppa that matcha fans would love very matcha (y'all saw this pun coming anyway).??
While you are here, do give their vegan house specialities a try too! The ???? ???? comes loaded with a luscious yam paste atop the biscuity tart shell. The overall sweetness wasn’t too overwhelming so you can indulge in it guilt-free. Or perhaps try their ???? ????? ??? ????????, which lived up to its namesake with its intense bittersweet dark chocolate goodness sprinkled with bits of pistachio for that extra crunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This lovely vegan cafe is hosted by the warm and friendly Chloe and Gina. From what I understand Chloe cooks for her mother who is vegetarian - when the inspiration for cooking stems from preparing for a loved one it certainly shines through. We have been here a couple of times now and have enjoyed every single visit. The food is tasty from the freshness of food simply but lovingly prepared. It is flavour some without being heavy. We have tried the eggplant don, their yummy version of Korean thunder rice and the chap chye and tofu sandwich! They also do wonderful taro tarts and pies which I keep eating and forgetting to take photos ! We intend to slowly try everything on the menu ! Gina does the best matcha oat milk latte with beautiful latte art. Please do come and support them :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time having vegan food and was pleasantly surprised. Had the Mushroom Tofu Ciabatta and Matcha Oat Milk Latte. The sandwich was filling and tasted great while the Latte was tasty and made to your preference (you can choose the sweetness!).
The space felt comfortable and cosy, a great location to have a mid afternoon teabreak away from the busy work life.
Owner was courteous, friendly and approachable. Do drop by and try their food out!
P.S. Heard that they are having waffles on the menu soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chill vibes with great food. The house special bowl was really tasty. The pistachio ice-cream was really soft and creamy. Can't believe all these are vegan.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden Gem!!!
Relaxing environment and can’t tell you how nice and kind the staff was to us! Thank you for the several rounds of warm water and introducing me patiently to your menu!
This is Vegan Cafe, but please don’t make that a reason to not come!!! The Vegan dishes are as delicious, if not more, compared to non-vegan food. Just come here if you want to have good food, relaxing time, nice environment, and for a cafe run by really nice people!
I was only able to try their bolognese pie and tofu sandwich and cookies, which I recommend wholeheartedly!
