★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is definitely a hidden gems in Chinatown Complex hawker center. We tried the KL Hokkien mee, Slice Fish Hor Fun and fried fish with Bitter gourd. All taste good. Will definitely come back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This stall serves the best hor fun in Singapore. Wonderful blend of wok hei with delicate taste and freshest of ingredients. Granted the lady boss's grumpy attitude, treat her nicely and she will return in kind. Afterall, a hawker's life is pretty tough. So let's be more forgiving. Must eat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the best plate of Hokkien mee I had in Singapore. Much better than those famous “JB tze char” places. Let’s start with the look, super appetising roasted walnut brown with nice glisten, hand peeled sea prawns and generous toppings of lard. The smell is smoky sweet and first bite, noodle was amazingly chewy with nice wok hey. The ingredients were super fresh and by that I include the lard too, they are hot and super crispy like they were freshly fried. Just enough sauce to coat the whole dish unlike some places that have the noodle sit in a pool of gravy. Lastly, the attitude of the owners and yes I agree that the lady boss has her swag but these are very genuine 1st generation hawker that devotes their entire life to perfecting their skills so be precise and direct with your order will be fine. The husband is a patient guy, perfect couple.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hokkien mee tasted OK but not fantastic. There was a heap of noodles but the ingredients were meagre. Not value for money at $5. Bean paste sliced fish horfun ($6) was worse - it was diluted and tasteless (the colour is much lighter than those images posted by previous reviewers), with the fish unfresh and the horfun in small pieces (probably due to them having frozen and thawed). Auntie was friendly though. Disposable cutleries. Cash only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A very well-fried plate of KL Hokkien Mee aka Dai Lok Meen 大碌面. The prawns were very fresh and the noodles had good wok hei. Portion size was just nice for 1 pax. Highly recommended!!
