I had try the original store at Loyang Way but not this store. The one at Loyang Way served very tasty prawn broth. I hope the taste is the same here. The 4 stars is for Loyang branch ?

Seldom come here and was in dilemma of what to eat. I walked around the food centre 3 times before decided to go for it. I tried the Loyang stall before. This stall may not be as good, but is not too far away. I paid $5 for this bowl. The prawns is fresh and the noodles nicely cooked. More importantly the chilli and broth ? Ohh yeah, not to forget my compliments to the friendly stall chef and helper.

Had always eaten this at the main branch in Loyang Way, so was excited to see a branch located in Bedok 85 Market. Unfortunately, I have to agree that the food from the branch outlet is somewhat lacklustre as compared to the main outlet, though it is still a decent bowl of noodles, the umami flavour from the main branch is missing.

This is somehow "franchised" from the original stall at Loyang Way which was originally run by an ex Tung Lok chef, before a group of young chaps run the place and now the outlet has been taken over by a group of matured folks. This outlet here at Block 85 is one notch below the main stall at Loyang Way which has already deteriorated. The soup is not as flavorful in terms of pork bones and prawn taste but has become a rather thin soup base which is pretty salty. Portion wise, probably half of what it used to be in the good old days. Fried shallots are just a tiny sprinkle on the noodles. Expect 5 pieces of half prawns for the smallest portion at $5. Overall, it is not fair to compare them to the original stall ran by a man who took pride in the soup and preparef each bowl uniformly and finally, very delicately presented to you. On the other hand, using this stall name comes with huge baggage and expectations.

Tried the main branch which is in Loyang therefore my expectation was high. Had their big prawn noodle which was SGD$5. The prawn noodle was alright, something seems to be missing from the soup. it somehow tasted different from the Loyang branch. The Loyang's branch soup seems to be thicker and fuller flavour to it. Prawns were fresh, my bowl comes with 5 halved large prawns.

Big prawn noodles but not exactly that big. The picture on their menu feels abit exaggerated. It’s just slightly bigger than your regular prawns. But the prawns were fresh though. Broth is decent, not bad. Just rmb to take your own seasoning( that orange powder) as they wouldn’t auto give you. I ordered a small bowl ($5) but my bowl feels pretty huge though. I think it’s more than sufficient for a guy. I think cause the stall is new so not much queue compared to other famous stalls but it’s definitely a dark horse worth trying.

Tried the $5 bowl. Added chilli powder to the soup, taste pretty good and the prawns served are fresh too. Haven't tasted the noodles at the main Loyang branch yet (not yet the difference in standard) but for this store there's no or little que, making it easy to order. Fried shallots enhances the taste of the soup too. Overall 4/5 stars!

First time trying this Prawn Noodles. I had the soup based at $5.50 that comes with 6 ½ sliced Prawns. I had eaten at Loyang Industrial Kopitiam and I personally like this one better! The broth is done just right, tasty and I always like to add chilli powder to my soup for added spiciness! The portion of the noodle is good and the prawns; very fresh! The dried version for small bowl is priced at $6 instead!
