Ma Ma Spin Pot - 785e Woodlands Rise

Went at 10pm and the items for hotpot was at 50% off!! It was surprisingly crowded at that time and we were pleasantly surprised at the service and food choices available!! Upon entering the restaurant, it felt like it was a hotpot restaurant in China with the music, smell and ambience. The staff who attended to us was also really helpful and he concocted this amazing dipping sauce when we asked for his recommendations. It was so flavourful and good for dipping the meats :) Was really happy to order the meat, and the portion was quite generous!! There was also a variety of drinks and items to choose from. They are not halal certified but they don’t serve pork on the menu. This is the place to go if you want to get an experience of chinese hotpot and dishes, with quality service. It is extremely value for money if you can go during supper time, will recommend! ?

Bill came and was quite pricey for the amount of food we ordered. Taste wise was not fantastic either. Will not revisit, prefer going to Shi Li Fang.

soup base is a little salty, mutton sliced and the toasted bread is vvvv nice!! buttt it wasn’t a pleasant dinner but there was constant small roaches… crawling out from the stove. the table beside us was well aware of it too and apparently it was their first time and they also mentioned they won’t come back again until the standard increases. very exp for 3 people to be $150+… the table beside us was 4 people that cost $200+… i mean u can try other outlets la instead of wlds one might be cleaner too i guess?

Service is terrible at woodlands, from manager to waiter all same attitude. 2 person meal near $70.. Food after finish got fly, lucky or not... Only place design is good.

DON'T BOTHER PATRONISING. They close as and when they want without notice even when you're still eating. No point informing them that their restaurant operating hours upfront states 3am because they will argue that it is closed at 1am even before my collagen soup frozen block has melted. Reached at about 12.35am, staff didn't bother to inform us that they're closing at 1am. Set the table ourselves, didn't bother to give us the menu, took them 20 minutes to serve us anything (with no soup). Asked for refill of soy sauce at condiments station and waitress said "I don't have it". If she doesn't have it then should we be buying our sauces from the Sheng Siong beside? Only after asking 3 times and other patrons asking too then the cashier came to refill it after 20 minutes. Collagen soup finally came as an ice block which took another 20 minutes to defroze. We asked to order more ingredients because they didn't serve us what we ordered, but waitress said that they're closed, without any notice of last order whatsoever. Asked us to pay immediately because cashier is closing. Chefs then started leaving and staff too while patrons are still eating. Staff attitude is terrible, horrible, incorrigible and vegetable. Speaking of vegetables, their corn is the most dried up corn I have ever seen. Food isn't exactly fresh since their mushrooms are also super dried. Conveyor belt items aren't kept back into the kitchen but they're just left there on the belt after closing. Flies are also flying around in the restaurant. Owner has no decency to respond to any sort feedback either. Don't waste your time travelling to any of their outlets since they suka suka close any time.

My take...Highly not recommended. Can have better quality and worthy food else....where... like walkable distance next to it ..is a coffee shop... Food is average. Price is over rated and expensive. Service is bad. Hygiene is bad..there are flies.. Serving time takes very long..close to one hour when there is only 2 tables of customers. Promotion board is misleading. During dinner time,there was no crowd at the peak hour. It is a tell tale sign. Something is amiss and not right. Waited close to an hour when there is only 2 table of customers. My table is the first table of two person. Ordered 1 grilled fish, 6 prawns and 1 rice. The order of 6 prawns was missed out...even though there was only 2 tables of customers.......and i ordered 2 items... There was a promotion board saying 5pm to 10pm having discount saying 20% discount. But please read carefully with open eyes because it is a "test" on your alertness... It is only applicable to hotpot in a hotpot restaurant.... Grilled items are not included in the 20% discount.. Very misleading like capital letter i and small L...side by side. I (i) and l (L) Perhaps when it is after 10pm and very crowded with super deals 50%. a customer won't feel so bad "experienced".. as it is crowded to justify the bad dinning experience. Maybe business is bad and mood is not good ...in general for such a place to operate in the long haul and run... 2021, 1th Dec.

Went to the new branch at Tyrwhitt road today. Very impressed wih the decor, cleaniness and overall vibes. Ordered a lunch set, mala sour potato liang fen soup. Very well done. Peanuts are freshly fried and the soup has the right spiciness and saltiness. Also ordered the bbq mutton, prawn and chicken. All very well seasoned and fresh. Lastly, friendly service and attentive.

Food is affordable & quality is great with the price. Service wise it’s quite when it’s crowded. Items are 50% after 10pm. BBQ items are quite worth the price, oysters, prawn, wings and the sausage. Their steamboat items are not bad but the portion is quite small.
