Tried almost everything here (excluding prawn Mee, popiah and rojak) and personally feel that the best dish is the dry chilli ban mee. CKT standard has dropped quite a lot and the oyster pancake is not bad (it has cai po in it). Assam laksa is not bad but not amazing. The claypot chicken rice is good and the herbal BKT too but would be even better if more concentrated. The fried wings is amazingggg. If you’re here alone and not sure what to order… get the dry chilli pan mee and fried wings, you won’t regret! Rating it 5/5 cos it has the best chilli pan mee ?

A rather small outlet located at Level 2 of West Mall so there are less foodstalls and variety. However, the food is nice and the price is reasonable.

So-so if you just need to fill up your tummy in the area. Went there cos I was so hungry and other outlets were long Q. The staff can be quite curt so don’t expect service. Ordered the popular KL dry ban mee. It’s not yucky but it’s not wow either. The minced meat very little. The chilli is quite spicy. The noodles were undercooked and very hard although it might be called al dente. The portion is not large for $4.50 it’s a simple meal. Don’t bother with the side of soup. It’s just water used to cook noodles and topped with 2 strands of spring onions. If I need a meal in the area and it’s not crowded, I won’t mind going again but not especially for it.

Ordered via Grab. They are under the Fei Siong group now and the standard is much better when they first started out a few years ago. The portion is looks small initially but was reasonable when eaten. Enjoyed the popiah, rojak and the claypot rice. The oyster omelette had 4 plump oysters in it which is the standard amount. The Penang fried kway teow was quite plain (no hum) but quite good. Will order their other dishes the next time.

New kuay teow stall at west mall. I ordered the $6 dish but ended up paying $6.50 cause it appears to have the noodles dry. I need to pay $0.50 more when it's not even started on the menu or mentioned to me earlier. The $6 meal is quite filling with many ingredients (fish cake, pig liver, minced meat, sliced pork, fish ball, pork ball, 2 clams?, an egg). The soup was pretty good other than that nothing special about the dish I feel should have gone for my usual instead like Chilli ban mian that’s cheaper and taste more unique cause I tried chilli ban mean from other places in Singapore before but Malaysia Chiak one is still the more consistent one.

Review is for Bak kut teh stall. $6.50 for a horrible bak kut teh with unfresh pork ribs with so little meat. Soup tastes like the instant bak kut teh type except that its worse. Doesnt even look like their advertised picture. $4.50 for their mee tai mak claypot. tastes better than the bak kut teh but still not worth it. Not coming back again

Went near closing time. Bak Kut Teh soup was tasty, but meat was quite dry. Chili Ban Mian ran out of veggies, so the taste profile was a little skewed. Overall average meal.

When we visited pre-covid, the place was sad, tired and very quiet. We expected it to close soon. Imagine our surprise when we were in West Mall this evening! The outlet has been rejuvenated, and is busy with many customers queueing for food! The prawn noodles is excellent, although the soup is spicy. The claypot bee Tai mak and sesame chicken were awesome! The claypot dishes were really popular and you have to wait at least 15 minutes or more, but it's worth it! A definite must try!
