Excellent food and service. Feel like home. We had to wait for about 20 mins but it is understandable since the restaurant is getting more and more customers. I would highly recommend you to come and try. The last time I had this meal was few years back at home ?

Excellent & 100% authentic sizzling beef platter. This is the first place selling this dish in Singapore and it js so so good ? Both the beef platter and the meatballs are amazing and taste exactly like in Vietnam ?

First time trying this Vietnamese dish - Egg and pate sandwich on a hot plate. Piping hot, spicy and rich which goes very well with the French bread. Only $5. Several other unique dishes so will come back to try!

New find in the Ubi neighbourhood. Not the easiest stall to spot as the cashier/ cooking area doesn’t face the main entrance of the coffeeshop. Interesting fusion of Vietnamese cuisine into Western dishes. Generous portion. The baguette was fantastic and totally stole the show from the beef - very fresh with a well-toasted, crispy exterior. The beef was a little on the tough and rough side, which reminds me of the quality of beef and cooking style of that in Vietnam. Friendly stall owner came over to ask for feedback on the beef towards the end of my meal. She mentioned some other customers had the same feedback but it was deliberately done this way without any marination of the beef in flour / water. I still prefer my beef to be on the tender side! Pickled vegetables were also a refreshing touch. Will try the chicken chop with garlic sauce next time.

Unlike the other reviewers, I actually ordered the ubiquitous Ribeye steak. This dish is one of the few without 'Vietnamese touch'. Ordered medium and came out medium well. But the Ribeye was still very tender and juicy. Sauce was a bit saltish (Vietnam flavour?), fries and corn are average. Overall very worth the $13.90. Easily the best Western food in ubi area. Will try their local Vietnam dishes next. Edit: changed from 4 to 5 stars. Came back today to try the signature bo ne. Omg it's so very nice makes me want to go Vietnam. Salad was very refreshing. The crusty toasted bread doused in the sliced beef sauce really goes well together. I hope I got the correct way to eat it. Portion is also very generous.

Ordered dish #1 aka Bò Né (sliced Beef). Tasted rather ordinary. No popping of Champagnes. Just stir-fried Beef. Lacked the punch, I'd humbly say. A portion of Chicken Liver Pate hidden in the sloppy (in a nice way) hot plate. The taste of Margarine was way too strong to my liking (not a fan of Margarine). Take the French loaf and soak it up, if you must. Second item #14 was a must try, when it comes to Vietnamese food. Bánh Mi Thit (fried Pork Sandwich). The loaf was flaky, airy and, yumscrums. Love it. A pity that, instead of spreading Pate, it was filled with Mayonnaise and Vietnamese Chilli Sauce. Thank God that it wasn't Srirachar. On my first bite into this "Sub", the strong taste of Garlic overwhelmed me like a freight train hitting a stalled car on the tracks. However, the more bites I took, the nicer it became. Run by a Vietnamese lady, it seemed like it was a One Man Operation (at the time of my visit). Fluent in multiple languages, ordering was a breeze. Very patient and, ever-willing to improve, by asking for feedback. 8/10
