The chefs are there to serve but are also approachable and engaging, as are the waitresses. I loved the sashimi and sushi - while they have the classic popular items, they also dare to introduce some fish I’ve not tried before. Such a great time

Update: 17th Feb.
Came back here the 4th time in 10 months. Still think they easily the top 3 omakase in Singapore, at least in my book. The ambience is friendly and the menu items tend to change slightly depending on the availability that day.

Special kudos to the husband and wife pair that runs the restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered the lunch sushi set and was surprised by the amount of food that followed. They are definitely very generous!
The sushi is perhaps not as good as sushi restaurants (the rice was quite cold as opposed to room temp) but it was still good.
The service is attentive and very fast if you need it to be. Told them I only had an hour for lunch and they got this massive amount of food ready for me and I was out the door within an hour. I was impressed.
I would’ve rated Mizume 4.5 stars because of the sushi (I’m not entirely sure if it’s fair to compare their sushi to restaurants that specialize solely on sushi) but with the good service and generous portion sizes and reasonable prices - 5 stars it is!
