Suishin Izakaya & Sake Bar - 52 Boat Quay

Cool ambience, cosy indoor seatings but my friend and I chose the outdoors, which was still pretty good because of the cooling weather. Even though the staff is shorthanded, they still managed to answer our queries and also serve us well. Their 3L suntory pale ale is very worth it for $59.90++, it's not too bubbly and you don't get bloated easily unlike the household brands like Tiger and Carlsberg, tend to get full after 1 can. We got salmon belly and salmon sashimi as well, the slices were so thick and fresh! Unlike the thin slices you get at Sushi Express or other sushi shops. We got the beef niku udon as well, the tempura bits in the soup gives it the crunch while complimenting the sweet and savoury of the broth. They had 20% off their ala carte menu, not sure if it's on every night, but it was very worth it. Shrimp tempura was amazing, not those small ones you normally see, but long and juicy ones, the prawn is pretty fresh! Will definitely ? come back again!

Skewers are pretty standard - chicken thigh and leek is nice, chicken meatball is good but overly sauced (better with the chili powder though). Just skip the barachirashi - it's subpar. Service is attentive, food a little slow.

The salmon belly was fresh and fat. Value for money. The shop was quite small. Need to make reservation.

Little lzakaya Gem! Must order shamini Hotate with truffle, assorted shamini, beef skewers, fish jerky. Good range of sake and beer. Sevice was impeccable.

Went on a sat, at least they did not have a rule that you have to purchase how much amount of sake before they let u sit outside like some other place ard the same area. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious.. n the view is nice..
